Just being nosey and quite bored 😅

So..me, mid 40’s, live abroad, sat on balcony drinking a Somersby, Dd, 7 will come up to bed in a minute and we’ll do bedtime story. I’ll probably come back on the balcony when she’s asleep. Dh going out

Anyone else? Vague age, area, plans? Sm shows me everyone is out and my road is very quiet

Woman in her thirties. Currently at home, just put my son to bed and sat alone pondering how shit my life is. "Partner" has ignored me all day, said he doesn't want to be near me. He just left for the pub and asked me to cook his dinner for when he's back.

WhereIsMyJumper · 24/05/2025 20:52

40, sat in the car eating a McDonalds after just leaving the cinema on my own. Suffering from heartbreak and feeling lonely

@WhereIsMyJumperwe’re here 👋🏻😘

At home alone. Trying to get ChatGpt to sort out how I get from Rouen to Giverny on the train/bus. It's wrecking my head! I'll be there soon and want to see Monet's garden or else.... Other than that trying to stay away from the biscuit tin on my low carb/sugar thinggy.

aeroplaneoverthesea · 24/05/2025 21:49

Late 40s. South west England. Laying in bed, listening to music and messaging my latest match on Hinge.

Cheener · 24/05/2025 21:49

70, up north. Just added waterproofs to my backpack as out for a ramble with friends tomorrow. Happily enjoying a glass of Jamshed and thin slithers (tastier than wedges imo) of Parlick. DH has just warned me that I’ll have to be up early to arrive on time, knowing it’s a challenge for me. Ugh!

finespineline · 24/05/2025 21:51

So enjoyed reading all these and sending g positive thoughts to those who are unwell and those who are feeling sad.
Hearing about settling babies and young children and even teenagers makes me feel v nostalgic. I think you only remember the good times!!
I'm 60's live in London
went to a very disappointing theatre show today
But now indoors had a nice dinner and watching the 1% club doing v badly!

notnorman · 24/05/2025 21:51

40s midlands. Daughter at a pride march thing. Eating left over takeaway then will have a bath.

Sunflowermoonbeam · 24/05/2025 21:53

Mid 40s, cosied up in our caravan on its seasonal pitch near Sidmouth, been for a drink with a sea view this evening, ds 6 tucked up in his bunk. Feeling grateful.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 24/05/2025 21:57

Currently I’m on MN on this thread I’m watching Haunted Hospitals on YouTube on my Kindle.

Yoyokitten · 24/05/2025 22:01

74, but feel 30 inside !
Had a lovely productive day at home, washing , cleaning chatting to family. We live in Yorkshire, no kids but a great family.
For once I was on a roll and cleaned the whole house in one day, which at my age is amazing.
So feeling very happy looking round at my lovely clean house...Won't last though.
DH watching an old black and white gangster film.
He's lovely🥰, looking forward to celebrating our golden wedding anniversary in a couple of weeks
Having a cup of camomile tea, scrolling on here before going to bed in a minute.

Chelsea26 · 24/05/2025 22:03

Mid 40’s, London

on sofa with a wine watching 1% club (currently doing very well - I’m still in and still have my pass!)
Ooo Lee’s just said they’ve all used their passes now!

DP is snoozing beside me, he’s played cricket today. Kids all with other parents for the rest of the weekend so wondering what we should do

fox919 · 24/05/2025 22:07

Mid 30s, south east. Sitting in my garden listening to dd2(3) play a game with dp (she should’ve been in bed 2 hrs ago but decided to have a really late nap today 😩). Dd1(13) upstairs probably playing online/watching Netflix and ds(2) asleep. Supposed to be watching grease with dd1 as they’re doing grease for their school musical and want to watch, but need to get dd2 to bed first! not sure I’ve got a film in me though, knackered today…

WillYouDoTheFandango · 24/05/2025 22:08

Early 40s, NW England. Partner is working abroad somewhere lovely for the weekend, DS is on holiday somewhere else lovely with his dad.

I’m chilling on the couch with our two dogs watching Emma (again). I’ve had a hard week at work and I need to retreat to the Regebcy period with dashing men and heaving bosoms.

FutureCatMum · 24/05/2025 22:09

40’s, up north. Sat on the sofa having watched a lovely film with DD and polished off her final Easter egg as I couldn’t be bothered to go out and buy chocolate. Promised to buy her double the weight in replacement chocolate tomorrow. She’ll hold me to that.
She had loads of sweets and is bouncing on sugar still. She should be in bed but she’s so cute giggling on a call to her friends. It’s the holidays so she can stay up a bit longer and we’re both having a lie in tomorrow.

PermanentlyExhaustedOwl · 24/05/2025 22:09

(Very) early 50's, trying to understand how I am, still feel late 20's! In Dublin, watching Covert Affairs, husband beside me and our 2 fur babies stretched out on the bed wrecked after coming home from doggy day care.
Miserable soggy day here today but feeling very happy because we have friends coming for lunch tmrw and spent hours today tidying up the house so it actually looks good for a change! 😊😊

pestowithwalnuts · 24/05/2025 22:11

Living in Lincs UK
Late 60's
Very recently widowed
Watching an re-run of Downton and had a crying do' at something on screen.
It doesn't take much to tip me over the edge at the moment.

Nowornever222 · 24/05/2025 22:18

UK, early 40s.
Young adult child away with friends for the weekend.
My and DH took the younger to the cinema earlier than had a pick your own dinner (pizza for the kid, an omelette for DH and i had some fancy sausage rolls).
Then DH and DD played some Minecraft and now she's gone to bed (doubt she's asleep though!)

We are sat on the sofa, having a cuppa and watching that guy who runs/walks across the continents on YouTube. He's in New Zealand at the moment, visiting the set of where the Hobbit was made.

Tomorrow, DH is running a race and I'm doing some gardening if it doesn't rain, which it is right now!!!

Pigtailsandall · 24/05/2025 22:20

Just about getting to mid 40s, having a glass of wine on a holiday trip to the south coast at a B&B (half term). DC is sleeping after a day at the beach, DH is having a shower and it's v quiet and the fresh air is almost too much for my tarry London lungs.

Avecmonbuster · 24/05/2025 22:21

Early 40s, I live in southern England but currently at my parents house, just over the border in south Wales.

It's so rural and quiet, I've just had a bath listening to the rain pattering on the skylight and I'm currently lying on my bed with their beautiful cat stretched out next to me.

My little boy is fast asleep, my husband is almost ready for bed and we are all full of roast chicken and pudding. A week together stretching ahead as it's half term.

EdnaTheWitch · 24/05/2025 22:23

UK, late 40s, at home watching The Gorge (it’s a bit crap) with my husband and son (16) who both seem to be enjoying it. I’m happy 😊

Throwmoneyatit · 24/05/2025 22:33

Mid thirties, north west. 3dc are all out at sleepovers and have been gone all day. We've been out into the countryside with a coffee and good music for a drive today. Dh went to his hobby tonight, I went to the gym for an hour, showered, caught up on some tv. Dh has come home and soldered something on the laptop. He's in the shower whilst I'm scrolling, some good singalong music on, duvet has been brought downstairs and we'll probably watch a film or start a new series once he's out before a lie in tomorrow! Love late, summer rainy nights 😁

GreenMarigold · 24/05/2025 22:36

Uk based, early 40s. Eldest daughter has a sports competition tomorrow which means 6am start so spent this evening rushing round making sure everything is ready for the morning. Haven’t stopped today and going straight to bed. Might manage 10 mins of reading before getting an early night!

BonVon71 · 24/05/2025 22:38

Early 50's (that sounds weird now I've typed it, when did THAT happen I'm still early 30's in my head.) Live in West Berkshire No kids, not married "yet".... my wonderful other half is 12yrs younger and sat watching car shows on the telly. I've just finished a nice few glasses of wine while doing some painting. (Oils on canvas not decorating the house) I'm a truck driver so will be out at work early Monday away for a few days but the money is good and I like the freedom. Bought a nice new car yesterday kinda loving life at the minute..... Youth is wasted on the young 😎

CampanulaMila · 24/05/2025 22:43

Mid-thirties, in Scotland, had a weed edible and a couple of glasses of wine with my partner and then we shared two pizzas. I was working today so I’m pretty knackered. Now I’m chilling out next to my snoring cats. A nice night!

CalicoPusscat · 24/05/2025 22:53

I posted earlier about being in a budget hotel with 2 distinct groups, one blokes drinking lager, second bingo.

Bingo lot have definitely won, lager blokes nowhere to be seen and bingo lot graduated to karaoke. They were on I WILL SURVIVE when I went down just now! Probably some strawberries then cup of tea and bedtime. Can't concentrate on a film.
