Things that don’t bother you that seem a big deal to other people

Lighthearted really but I honestly can’t understand why anyone would feel precious about a friend forgetting their birthday. My very best friend has forgot a couple of times and it’s more funny than anything else. But other people seem up in arms about things like this.

Weddings… I couldn’t give a shit if someone couldn’t make my wedding or posted a photo too soon or whatever else. I’m amazed people care about this stuff.

Obviously there’s plenty I’m highly strung about though! 😅

Whether people (men) lave the toilet seat up or down.

Moonnstars · 10/05/2025 08:52

Having a fancy hen do
Having a baby shower

(Clearly I do not like being the focus of attention)

therewasafishinthepercolator · 10/05/2025 09:00

Milestone birthdays.
Toilet seat up.
Wiping dirty hands on clothes - when our kids were little. It was usually the handiest thing to do.
Swearing. I quite like it.

Iwantmyoldnameback · 10/05/2025 09:02

Opening the front door, especially when you are expecting a parcel.

Seeline · 10/05/2025 09:04

Taking shoes off at the front door
Bare feet in the house
Washing towels after every use
SAHMs

EG94 · 10/05/2025 09:04

Putting toilet roll on the wrong way
emails starting with just my name no hi - so rude!
people who can’t park in the lines
people who park in disabled bays who aren’t disabled
bratty kids with gentle parents
dogs off lead bulldozing up to me and one of my dogs is not great with other dogs being in her face hence on a lead
my dickhead neighbours who want me to live in silence because his wife works nights

yea a lot annoys me 🤣🤣

LobeliaBaggins · 10/05/2025 09:05

Travelling solo or going to the theatre/ cinema on your own. I love it.

Agix · 10/05/2025 09:06

Not going on an abroad holiday (or holiday at all?).

Weddings, same as you OP. All the random etiquette surrounding it all, I don't get it. I'm getting married soon, I just want people to have a nice relaxing afternoon.

Inviting people over.

Berlinlover · 10/05/2025 09:06

I’m with my partner for over four years, we have no plans to marry. It suits me fine.

BlackPantherPrincess · 10/05/2025 09:10

Toilet roll - really don’t care.
My DH being away for a few nights - I’m surprised how many people just can’t tolerate having the kids by themselves.
Also not speaking to my DH all day whilst he’s at work.
Driving an older car.

I am surprised that none of that bothers you .

LondonLady1980 · 10/05/2025 09:13

When people are accidentally driving in the wrong lane, or they accidentally take the wrong exit on a roundabout and so they try to change lane last minute. If they do it safely what’s the big deal?! We are all human and make mistakes. Yet I have known drivers get INFURIATED about it and start badmouthing the driver of the car, or swearing, or giving them angry flares etc I don’t get it.

Or when drivers are merging into a one lane traffic queue , I.e road works appear, or a car has broken down and is blocking a lane, or it is just simply a case of two lanes merging into one, and the car is indicating to join the line of traffic and all the drivers of other cars are moaning about and it and saying, “I’m not bloody letting them in!!” And it is always accompanied with cars driving bumper to bumper to make sure another car can’t join the line of traffic.

It’s so much unnecessary road rage and anger. I just don’t get it.

I think you misread the OP!

Na I misunderstood that all very much bothers me 🤣 it’s gunna bother others “people who don’t read properly” and they’d be right. Bloody annoying! 🤦🏼‍♀️

Happyinarcon · 10/05/2025 09:14

Whether it’s a natural birth or c section. I had a C, but really couldn’t give a crap either way and I’m happy for women who had natural births. I also don’t care if some women say a C section doesn’t count as giving birth, maybe it does maybe it doesn’t but I have zero interest in that debate

toycat · 10/05/2025 09:16

Elaborate hen do's
Elaborate weddings
Fancy decorated cakes for kids

The above maybe for social media?

PermanentTemporary · 10/05/2025 09:16

100% @LondonLady1980 I'm with you. I think some people are permanently cross that any other cars are on the road at all.

Totally this.
Never really lost it with my husband apart from when gets passenger rage of don't let him in he's known the road merges for the last mile sure dude but also I like my car I fancy keeping my bumper I'll let him in no inconvenience to myself and we will all go about our day. Jeees.

LaundryD · 10/05/2025 09:17

I think a lot of people have misread the OP 😆 This is a thread for things that seem to massively bother other people that you are not bothered about 😃

Ficklebricks · 10/05/2025 09:17

Mess

Andsoitbeganagain · 10/05/2025 09:18

Being asked to attend the office two days a week.

Answering a telephone.

Christmas.

EG94 · 10/05/2025 09:19

Now I understand the question 🤣
getting married
having kids
talking to OH all day.
OH going out
people calling dogs furbabies
dogs in cafes
swearing
dark humour.

cliffdiver · 10/05/2025 09:19

I don’t give a shit if someone parks outside my house.

ZoeyBartlett · 10/05/2025 09:20

People using my bins - crack on and put your dog crap etc in! I’d rather it was in a bin than on street.
Answering the door or phone when not expecting someone or recognising the number.

Genevieva · 10/05/2025 09:21

Cars. They are for getting from A to B. I really can’t get excited about them. I’d never spend more than necessary in one.
