I got injured on a dog meet up

A few months ago I met up with a woman on a dog breed Facebook page - idea was that we would walk our dogs together /potentially start up a friendship. That walk went well and I thought the woman was lovely, we messaged back and forth after that and arranged to meet up again yesterday.

We met at a local forest. Both dogs have great recall so we let them off lead for a play. Everything going great until I tripped over a vine and fell to the ground. This sent her dog absolutely crazy who then began lunging at me and barking - I went to get up and the dog bounced off me and knocked me down again. I expected a bit of assistance but this woman was doubled over in stitches laughing. I asked her to grab her dog and she half heartedly called her dog who began making its way back to her, I started to get up at which point her dog turned around and came flying back towards me, my dog then got excited and went to get involved before both dogs knock into me and I go tumbling down a big hill. My arm was scratched to pieces and this woman was laughing so much she could barely talk. I shouted up at her that I’ve hurt my arm and she needs to get her dog. She recalled her dog. At this point I realised she was filming the whole thing and I also realised I had damaged my hip and was finding it difficult to stand up.

long story short, I used my dog to drag me up the hill. I cut the wall short as in lots of pain. She messaged me later and asked how I was so I said I was battered and bruised. She then said “if it makes you feel any better, you’re going viral on TikTok. I can’t believe she would do that! I’ve not even looked on TikTok as I’m far too embarrassed.

I need a well thought out message to send back - or do I just leave it??!

That’s is such a horrible thing to do. I would be really upset. Hope you are ok now OP?

LoudSnoringDog · 21/04/2025 09:24

Tell her to grow up

Evaka · 21/04/2025 09:26

Jesus, this is horrendous if it's real. Is she off her tits?

user1471538275 · 21/04/2025 09:27

Clearly she is someone you will never go on a walk again with.

Hope you are okay.

Catapultaway · 21/04/2025 09:28

I kinda want to see the tiktok to be honest 😂

SilenceInside · 21/04/2025 09:30

I’d send her a message telling her how unbelievably cruel and unpleasant she has been and then block her and never engage with her again. What a vile specimen.

I’m ok thank you, I have weak joints so it doesn’t take much to injure them. I know I don’t “know her” as such but this seemed so far removed from the character she appeared to have. I just feel a bit daft really 😞

Actually if this was a few months ago I’d just block her and move on.

I agree.

What a horrible thing to happen. I hope you're OK @FluffyPaw, I would be so upset and humiliated if this happened to me.

BookArt55 · 21/04/2025 09:35

I would message saying how you have gotten over the shock and realised the extent of your injuries, that you are deeply upset that she filmed it and put it on tiktok. That you would like her to remove it
I'd then find it in tiktok and report it. Not sure how successful you'd be getting it down but worth a shot.
Once you hear back from her, I'd then block her.
Hope you've feeling better after a rest, feel for you.

AlphabetBird · 21/04/2025 09:37

If she seriously has put it online she needs to take it down. What a bitch! She sounds thick and insensitive, so I’m not sure it’s worth replying, just block and move on.

Hope you’re feeling ok soon OP.

MrsMoastyToasty · 21/04/2025 09:37

I'd say something about reporting her to the police for allowing her dog to attack you.

Energe · 21/04/2025 09:45

If this was a few months ago you won’t be a viral sensation anymore so just leave it

Motheroffive999 · 21/04/2025 09:48

Send her a message to say that you have had to have medical attention and to remove it from tiktok. Then I would block her.

ZippyPeer · 21/04/2025 09:48

What an arsehole!
Agree with @BookArt55

You’re not daft. It was not a nice thing to do and the first thing I would do is help somebody not bloody film it.

Judgejudysno1fan · 21/04/2025 09:50

This is seriously awful. If I was there, I would have helped you. Bloody jell.how are you feeling today. She's a hideous human being and I wouldn't ever see her again. Don't watch the video but try and get it banned from tiktok. I would not find it hilarious and she even brought her phone out. What a pig.

Bruisername · 21/04/2025 09:51

It happened yesterday not a few months ago

have you found the clip on tiktok? You should report it

and agree with pp should tell her you think she is a cruel and unkind person and then block her

Cherrysoup · 21/04/2025 09:59

Please tell her to take down the video, that’s so disgusting of her to upload it!

Miyagi99 · 21/04/2025 10:00

Accidents happen, especially when dogs are playing but I couldn’t forgive the filming I’m afraid.

Treblechef · 21/04/2025 10:23

How about 'no I am not alright you stupid cow, but glad you are getting a bit of mileage out of it on TikTok'

Ohnobackagain · 21/04/2025 10:46

@FluffyPaw if this was a friend I knew well, I’d still expect them to ask if it’s ok to post footage. But I doubt my friends would film in the first place, or at least they’d make sure I was ok (even if laughing at me falling over). As it’s someone you don’t know that well she really ought to have asked. But again, even if it was funny to watch (and your description was funny, and I confess I was curious and would like to have seen the footage) she ought to have been getting her dog and making sure you were alright. Likewise, she should have messaged to find out if you have any lasting damage and assuming you were ok, she could have asked about putting the footage online.

I’d be replying along the lines of ‘still a bit shaken up and to be honest, given we don’t know each other well you should have checked if I were Ok with the footage being posted’

Gettingbysomehow · 21/04/2025 10:49

I would absolutely blast her to kingdom come, what an absolute bitch. She did not ask your permission to put that on tiktok, I'd be making her take it down.

BogRollBOGOF · 21/04/2025 10:49

Her dog fell under the legal definition of being "out of control" (it gave you reasonable cause to fear for your safety) and she's stupid enough to have broadcast that on the internet. You'd be well within your rights to report that to the police...

It might assist your persuasive leverage...

Hoppinggreen · 21/04/2025 10:53

I can understand her laughing at first when you fell (while also checking you were ok) but then continuing to laugh, filming and posting it is awful behaviour.
There is something very wrong with her
