I got injured on a dog meet up

A few months ago I met up with a woman on a dog breed Facebook page - idea was that we would walk our dogs together /potentially start up a friendship. That walk went well and I thought the woman was lovely, we messaged back and forth after that and arranged to meet up again yesterday.

We met at a local forest. Both dogs have great recall so we let them off lead for a play. Everything going great until I tripped over a vine and fell to the ground. This sent her dog absolutely crazy who then began lunging at me and barking - I went to get up and the dog bounced off me and knocked me down again. I expected a bit of assistance but this woman was doubled over in stitches laughing. I asked her to grab her dog and she half heartedly called her dog who began making its way back to her, I started to get up at which point her dog turned around and came flying back towards me, my dog then got excited and went to get involved before both dogs knock into me and I go tumbling down a big hill. My arm was scratched to pieces and this woman was laughing so much she could barely talk. I shouted up at her that I’ve hurt my arm and she needs to get her dog. She recalled her dog. At this point I realised she was filming the whole thing and I also realised I had damaged my hip and was finding it difficult to stand up.

long story short, I used my dog to drag me up the hill. I cut the wall short as in lots of pain. She messaged me later and asked how I was so I said I was battered and bruised. She then said “if it makes you feel any better, you’re going viral on TikTok. I can’t believe she would do that! I’ve not even looked on TikTok as I’m far too embarrassed.

I need a well thought out message to send back - or do I just leave it??!

She doesn't need cctv footage it's the middle of a forest plus the other woman filmed it!

Very true actually. It’s terrible! That woman is so cruel, I can’t believe anyone would do something so mean and laugh about it, it’s genuinely disgusting to me.

Longma · 21/04/2025 14:37

Can you report the video on TikTok to have it taken down?
or at least ask her to remove it, especially as you are injured and didn’t give permission for your falls and injuries to be recorded?

Out of curiosity, what's your IQ?

Yes, because only people with LD laugh at people falling over.
You can't help what you laugh at. Sometimes, it is instinct. People send in videos of their toddlers caving their heads in on slides for laughs on You've Been Framed.

I kinda want to see the tiktok to be honest 😂

Me too 😂

CookieCrumbles23 · 21/04/2025 14:38

This is the petty part of my talking but I would be tempted to pretend like all is okay, ask her to join another walk, trip her over, laugh and film it, then post it all over SM.

Luckily, I have a mature side of me that wouldn’t allow my petty part to act out like this 🙄

Rklap · 21/04/2025 14:40

I would ghost her.

Aside, there is no need for you to be embarrassed. She should be embarrassed because she was laughing whilst you were getting hurt. She sounds like a fucking weird. Just ghost, recover, job done.

Precisely, weird. And to me indicates stupid and potentially low IQ

You can't diagnose someone with an LD based on what they laugh at... which is what you are implying.

Out of curiosity, what's your IQ?

IQ has nothing to do with what you find funny or your emotional intelligence

B1indEye · 21/04/2025 14:53

I'm not on tiktok but how come no one has seen the viral video in question, has it been taken down now?

TheWonderhorse · 21/04/2025 14:57

Hahaha. I'm not thick, if that's what you're suggesting. Falling over is funny. That's been a thing forever.

FullOfLemons · 21/04/2025 15:06

Ask her for a link to the Tik Tok.

Then report being attacked by an out of control dog to the police along with the evidence she has provided

TeatimeForTheSoul · 21/04/2025 15:12

How about highlighting the consequences of her actions @FluffyPaw
“Thanks for letting me know the video you took is available, please could you send me a copy. I presume it clearly shows your dog was responsible for knocking me over twice and you did nothing to control it/him despite my [long term joint issue] as you were laughing and filming? My injuries are [describe]. A copy of the video would be really useful to have in case I need to make a claim.”

CiscoTS · 21/04/2025 14:38

Me too 😂

I would also like to see the video, to see if it tallies with OPs version of events or not!

If it shows what's described, then the boot that posted it needs the boot!

And you’re just as bad as that woman.

Laugh laugh.
And think about how you’ll feel when you turn will come and people will laugh at you fur hurting yourself.

With people like you, no one need ennemies. You’re just a bully.

⬆️⬆️ this!!
Along side photo evidence.

Nothinglikeagoodbook · 21/04/2025 15:16

Tell her you had thought she was a nice person but you now realise how unpleasant she is, to have enjoyed making fun of your pain and posting the video without your permission, acting like a playground bully, so you never want to see her or have any contact with her again.

BlueTitShark · 21/04/2025 15:17

TheWonderhorse · 21/04/2025 14:57

It’s not when you’re the one being hurt.

Empathy and compassion goes a long way.

Youll learn that when you’ll need someone to extend that grace towards you.

WiddlinDiddlin · 21/04/2025 15:18

Get the video link off her... then report her... If you make it clear you're really pissed off and plan on reporting her for failing to control her dog then you're unlikely to get the proof to support your complaint.

Cantbebotheredwithausername · 21/04/2025 15:21

Am I reading this correctly? This wasn't just an accident, as your injuries weren't caused by the initial tumble, but by her dog literally attacking you while she stood by laughing and filming.

Report to the police.

Falling over is slapstick comedy. Comedy for fans of Benny Hill and other morons.

Report to the police.

She was pushed over by both dogs... one of which was her own. It is in the OP.

RaininSummer · 21/04/2025 15:25

That is horrible. Hope you are ok now

Brefugee · 21/04/2025 15:32

can you report the clip to tiktok and have it taken down?

Toddlertroubles00 · 21/04/2025 15:32

Is this something that could be reported to the police? this could have ended up a lot worse
