To think it’s hard to go to McDonalds after Five Guys?

I think it’s hard to get excited about McDonald’s burgers if you’ve had more elaborate ones like Five Guys ?

I think it’s hard to get excited about McDonald’s burgers in general! They’re very much just a quick, last resort food option for us. Five Guys feels much more like a proper meal - I find McDonald’s often leaves you hungry.

I tried 5 guys after reading about their burgers and they’re very ordinary.

I don’t like five guys burgers. Macdonald’s are ok.

Same here, McDonalds is emergency rations only for us.

I wouldn't get excited about either of them.

Five guys is over priced greasy food. I'm no food snob, but seriously it's not worth the cost.

They aren't really the same price range though.

5 guys is much better quality but unsurprisingly significantly more expensive I don’t think it’s the same day to day clientele.

I really fancied a Maccys and couldn't get there. I bought a Rustlers burger from the garage ( never had one before ) added lettuce ,onions and mayo put some fries in the air fryer and job done. Tasted no different.

Not had a Five Guys but their bugerd are the same price as the lovely homage burgers in my local pub. So yeah , no.

I always feel ripped off at 5 Guys, that's a lot of money for an overage burger.

McDonalds is what it is. For a quick something when out and about, I'd have that in preference to most other fast food chains, but I don't think McDs or 5 Guys would see each other as competitors in the same market.

A Wendy's burger joint is opening in my area, are they nice? Never had a 5 Guys, but the general consensus seems to be that they're disappointing.

McDonald's has the best fries imo.

I like both. Five guys fries and milkshake are so good (I get the peanut butter one)

Five Guys don’t do a vegan burger or they’d be perfect.

Five guys is expensive and their chips are meh...

The burgers are nice though

McDonald’s is like eating air. Half an hour later and your hungry again.

YABU as I love McDonald’s.

I haven't had a macdonalds hamburger for maybe 2 decades. Will eat the breakfast and chicken items but not the hamburgers, I am just not even sure what they are supposed to be. Don't trust them. I know the chicken is probably just as bad but can not bring myself to eat the burgers and I love a proper burger.

Now McDonald's on the continent. That IS awesome. They still do the caramel sundae that the UK discontinued so it's worth going for that alone

Shake Shack over 5 Guys. McDonald’s is something else entirely.
