I think it’s hard to get excited about McDonald’s burgers if you’ve had more elaborate ones like Five Guys ?

I hate 5 Guys 🤢 Much prefer a KFC to a McDonald’s anyway 😋 Our local pub does the most amazing burgers and, if they’re quiet, the chef will even cook you stuff that’s not on the menu.

What makes you think McDonald's is processed rubbish and 5 guys is superior? When it comes to ingredients, McDonald's uses organic milk, free range eggs, only chicken breasts, only British and Irish meat and they list the cuts they use (unlike 5 guys). They even list the breed of potatoes which their fries are cut from.

I do myself defending MCDs a lot on these type of posts like I'm some kind of fan, when it is an occasional meal that fits the bill.
I just can't stand the snobbery and misinformation and the insistence that spending daft money gets you a better burger in 5 guys.

Absolutely this. Our youngest has worked there since Sixth form and I’ve been surprised at the lack of additives in its food.

i'd rather pay for mcdonalds. Five Guys are extortionately expensive for what they serve.

The only good thing at 5G is the biscoffe milkshake.

I love Five Guys but that doesn’t really diminish my enjoyment of a Big Mac, for a quick snack on the go a Big Mac always hits the spot.
