Trans people

Mog65 · 17/04/2025 16:46

Firstly, I'm a trans ally

Everyone is up in arms about trans women. What seems to be forgotten these people are human beings. Where is humanity. You have probably been sharing toilets and coming into contact with trans women every day and have no idea. You only hear about the few bad ones. In a public toilet, you go into a cubical and pee. Its not like you're sat there in full public view with your knickers at your ankles.

What has been forgotten also, as many females are changing to. So trans men. So you're in hospital in a ward. The woman in the next bed, identifys as George, clit is now a penis fully working and you're in the next bed! Same person can wander around female only spaces as the law has changed. George can now only be searched by a female. By the way George a transgender man is a pervert! All hypothetical but nobody has brought this up.

Just a thought.

Clit as penis, fully working? Could you please explain?

They can't because it's not true. Isn't it usually a flesh tube created from tissue removed from the arm. Not usually fully functioning, usually connected to the lower abdomen. Some of them have plastic pumps so they can produce an "erection." Real Frankenstein stuff.

LesMisSaigon · 17/04/2025 17:16

@LobeliaBaggins Most of us are not allies. Now we have legal backing
Who the hell are 'Most of us'? Speak for yourself.

Most of the British public, according to numerous polls, support safe spaces for women.

Which is why the court ruled the way ot did. People are sick of this bullshit.

BrilliantBrilliant · 17/04/2025 17:21

LobeliaBaggins · 17/04/2025 16:50

Ok. You do you. Be an alley or a cul-de-sac if you prefer.

Most of us are not allies. Now we have legal backing.

Maybe they identity as an alley or a cul de sac. As long as they don't start telling me I'm not an avenue but a cis avenue and invade my space then get on with it.
Trouble is the alleys keep telling the avenues and cul de sacs what we need to do , what to call them, what to call ourself. Batshite all of it.

SoThisisMe · 17/04/2025 17:22

There were Women who objected when we were fighting for the right to vote. Hard to believe, until you read dick pandering drivel like this.
They truly do walk amongst us.

andtheworldrollson · 17/04/2025 17:23

Yip I know some transpeople and have met a few more

I don’t see what that has to do with anything? Are you saying they were so lovely they would change my opinions ? Because that would be untrue.

i have yet to meet one who want not obvious IRL - I transwomen are easier to spot at first glance than transmen on the whole. So your premise that we don’t realise is wrong.

this isn’t about hating them

it’s about fairness , truth , dignity and respect for a marginalised group in society ( that’s women you know )

there isn’t hate - the AIBU poll clearly showed that .

but there is frustration and boiling rage at the misrepresentation, the lies, the harming of women and children. And the repeated whine of “hateful mumsnet”. Shorthand for “hateful women”

women should not have had to fight for the right for single sex spaces to which they always had the right in law. Some transpeople brought us a fight we didn’t want. That has been clarified.

Genevieva · 17/04/2025 17:23

As I said elsewhere earlier today:
There are women and men. There are a small percentage of men with a wide variety of conditions that should not be banded together under the misnomer ‘trans women’. These include transsexuals, transvestites, autogynephiles, misogynistic narcissists who get kicks out of encroaching on women’s spaces, sexual predators who masquerade as women in order to access women only spaces and assault them, and autistic men and boys who have been groomed by trans activists. Grouping these very different people together allows criminals to hide in plain sight behind the benign and the vulnerable.

Summertimeblahness · 17/04/2025 17:24

Do you have any daughters @Mog65 ?

SueSuddio · 17/04/2025 17:24

Direct your anger at Stonewall and all the extremist groups that have insisted that anyone can identify as anything and have to be taken seriously and even rewarded.

The vast majority of women were allies until we were told biological men belong in women's sport. That we should all call John at work Jane on the days he feels like a woman (I'm not making this one up, this is 100% true).

Stonewall went too hard, beyond common sense and this is why women had to go hard, to stop the sharp and unfair end of the consequences.

TeeBee · 17/04/2025 17:27

You're wrong.

afig · 17/04/2025 17:28

I think the rights of the many (girls and women who deserve single-sex spaces for comfort, safety, and dignity) outweigh the delusions of the few (people who are not female but want to demand access to female-only spaces).

Galaxybisc · 17/04/2025 17:28

So pleased that sanity has prevailed. I think most people are accepting of the fact that everyone is different and people can dress how they like.

You can’t change biological sex however. You’re either male or female and men should not be allowed into female safe spaces. End of.

As to the surgeons performing surgery to ‘transition’ people, I think that’s hugely questionable. Just like the Doctors giving hormones to teenagers.

DuesToTheDirt · 17/04/2025 17:29

@ODFOx What will happenis that in some cases, where need can be proven, some facilities may become natal women only: for example the patient loos on some hospital wards that all visitors used to be able to use, or in some religious or refuge situations. Need must be proven and provision made for anyone excluded by the selective nature.

No, we don't need to prove a need in order to make toilets only for "natal women" (let's make that just "women", eh?). It's not just about patient toilets, or refuges. It's not just "some cases". Any and all toilets that are for women are just for women. There is a need for single-sex toilets wherever possible, i.e. just about everywhere except small cafes with one toilet. This need is clear and obvious to almost everyone.

And of course there is "provision made for anyone excluded by the selective nature." if by that you mean "men excluded from women-only toilets". Those men go in the men's. Job done.

SapphireSeptember · 17/04/2025 17:29

OP sounds like a teenager. I suppose it is the Easter holidays. Hmm Either way I'm not impressed with your arguments!

My compassion has and always will be with women and girls who have suffered male violence, even more so if it was at the hands of men who shouldn't have been in that prison/toilet/changing room/hospital ward or homeless/DV shelter. Women and girls have a right to privacy away from men and boys. If this causes hurty feelings to some men or boys, I don't give a single fuck. Not one.

BrilliantBrilliant · 17/04/2025 17:29

FrippEnos · 17/04/2025 17:18

One of the reasons that I feel sorry for trans people is that they are being sold the lie of a "fully functioning" opposite sex body and then find out that its not what is being done to them.

This. I feel sorry for trans people sold the lies. Fully functioning penis isn't a fully functioning penis. A fake vagina doesn't function like a real one. They are created things, not real and don't function like the real organs do.

Massive lies sold to poor vulnerable people often children with autism or mental health issues (apart from the men in dresses ones who want to put themselves in women's safe spaces, I don't feel sorry.for them).

Bannedontherun · 17/04/2025 17:29

@Mog65 The plastic surgeons in gender surgery have yet to design a penis that actually works in any way, and the clitoris is positioned behind the roll of arm muscle fashioned in to a tube sown on to the pubic area, of a female.

Where do you get your information from?

Reddit perhaps?

UndermyShoeJoe · 17/04/2025 17:31

Also feel pretty bad for the de transition community. The amount of hate and bashing they get from trans activists is huge.

Why is it so bad to tell people becoming a type of male or female was a huge mistake and you’re going to back to what you actually are. Why do they get threats and silenced 🤔

SporadicMincePieMuncher · 17/04/2025 17:33

NONE of us want trans identifying people to be unsafe. Stop claiming that we haven't thought about their rights. We very much have.

We want women to be safe. We want women to have dignity, and their hard won sex-based rights to be defended.

We want a legal definition of a word that describes a biological woman. We have that.

Having the legal definition of a word does not make trans identifying people less safe. If anything makes trans people less safe, it's men. Men being the problem is NOT women's problem to fix, and society never should have treated us as the support sex. If the ruling means that we stop getting abused as the support sex, we aren't going to be sorry about that.

It has been crystal clear all along that the mantra TWAW harms women. Trans people and their allies could have spent all this time campaigning for 3rd spaces and all sorts of things that didn't take away from our rights, and that we would have supported, but you didn't want that. You wanted to take away women's private spaces.

I'm feel sorry for trans folk if the ruling contributes to distress for them. I hope that it doesn't cause them the harm they are worried about. But I'm not willing for a word defining the female sex to disappear, It's too important. And I'm damn sure I'm not giving up my sex's rights.

The clitoris is used in the making of the penis.

So how do they make imitation bollocks?
Asking for a friend.

Wrong. I am genuinely worried about the education of anyone who has been through school in the last 10 years. To date no functional (for sex or even urination) penises have been made from any other body parts. Emphasis on the functional. What they are doing is the equivalent of "is it cake". Usually it is pretty obvious that it isn't cake.

murasaki · 17/04/2025 17:36

I don't think the OP will be back.

Maybe ping pong balls and arm skin. Who knows. It's impossible to recreate semen storage areas.

Nowimhereandimlost · 17/04/2025 17:36

I think a lot of of the issues of this 'debate' are rooted in piss poor critical thinking skills. Also basic comprehension, like the difference between 'sex' and 'gender'

Just sellotape a couple of kiwi fruits down there, don't they?

OP, please can you tell me how many transmen have been found guilty of raping women, compared to how many transwomen have been found guilty of raping women? (and, no, I don't believe transwomen are all dangerous sexual predators but I know that dangerous men go to extreme lengths to prey on women).

I'm quoting this post just so I can applaud it again.
