Trans people

Firstly, I'm a trans ally

Everyone is up in arms about trans women. What seems to be forgotten these people are human beings. Where is humanity. You have probably been sharing toilets and coming into contact with trans women every day and have no idea. You only hear about the few bad ones. In a public toilet, you go into a cubical and pee. Its not like you're sat there in full public view with your knickers at your ankles.

What has been forgotten also, as many females are changing to. So trans men. So you're in hospital in a ward. The woman in the next bed, identifys as George, clit is now a penis fully working and you're in the next bed! Same person can wander around female only spaces as the law has changed. George can now only be searched by a female. By the way George a transgender man is a pervert! All hypothetical but nobody has brought this up.

Just a thought.

OP, please can you tell me how many transmen have been found guilty of raping women, compared to how many transwomen have been found guilty of raping women? (and, no, I don't believe transwomen are all dangerous sexual predators but I know that dangerous men go to extreme lengths to prey on women).

Nope. For a male foetus, the clitoris develops into a penis. For a trans man, a clitoris is deformed into something vaguely resembling a penis. It’s still not a penis, though.

The clitoris and penis form from the same tissue, just as testicles and ovaries do, but the clitoris never develops into a penis. The two are separate biological structures.

murasaki · 17/04/2025 17:07

It's the movements. You can use as many filters on still photos as you like, but we see every movement in your gait, your hands, your adams apple in hospital, probably your feet, your sense of entitlement, it's really obvious in real life even with surgery. Sorry to burst the bubble. George is welcome, Georgina is not.

Shegotanology · 17/04/2025 17:07

I'm not quite sure why women are so scared of trans women.
They've been around for longer than people realise without much fanfair.
I don't know of anyone assaulted by a trans person. I'm not saying that doesn't happen but it's not something you see in comparison to how many women are killed by men.

SnoozingFox · 17/04/2025 17:07

Tell me you didn't pay attention in biology class without saying you didn't pay attention in biology.

Summertimeblahness · 17/04/2025 17:08

Forgotten? You’ll find that trans people are protected under the equality act rather than under women’s rights as they are not women.

George in the hospital bed next to me is biologically female and in the hospital environment it is really important to recognise that George’s needs are going to be very different to the other patients on the men’s ward. To receive the correct care and treatment George needs that bed.

@BryantVibes post is extremely helpful.

Flumperina · 17/04/2025 17:08

Nobody can ‘transition’ - you can’t change sex. I don’t really care what trans people do as long as they stay out of single sex spaces. I am pretty confident I can spot a trans identifying man even if they have had extensive facial surgery.

I don’t care if a woman who thinks she can turn into a man shares my spaces. Nor would call her a ‘pervert’ as you did.

Campaign for third spaces if you care so fucking much or are you just sore that you can’t steal those belonging to women.

Hemmissus · 17/04/2025 17:09

Kendodd · 17/04/2025 17:01

Just one thing.
I very much doubt women have been sharing spaces without noticing. Transwoman stick out a mile and are easy to spot, very, very few pass. And yes, I do know/have known lots of transwomen.

This ⬆️

Well that's just because there are a lot more regular men than trans-identified one. MOJ statistics show that trans women are more likely to commit sex offences than other men.

The reason women don't want them in their spaces is they are men. They're no different from any other male.

OP
I really, really want to be a swan. Ive felt like a swan ever since I was born. Ive had surgery to sew a beak on my face and ive had feathers transplanted all over. My arms have been surgically modified into lovely wings. I strongly believe my brain is that of a swans. I spend all my time paddling in the pond at the local park and eating the bread kind people throw for me.
Does that make me a swan?

I'm not surprised that George in in hospital if they've tried to turn her clitoris into a fully working penis.

mickandrorty · 17/04/2025 17:11

Men are men women are women its biology, actual facts! I as a women do not want men in my private spaces they do not belong there! Do some research into how many men really want to be women and how many are just pervs before you start posting absolute drivel!

MissScarletInTheBallroom · 17/04/2025 17:11

Where's the humanity shown for women who have self excluded from their own single sex spaces because they, for many and varied reasons, cannot share those spaces with members of the opposite sex?

Where's the compassion for the women in prison who, because you cannot choose to self exclude from prison, were locked up with male rapists?

murasaki · 17/04/2025 17:11

Agree, except your first point, with which I agree, undermines the second.

They are different from from men who accept their maleness as they commit sexual offences at an even higher level.

Is this the 'transwomen have been using your toilets for ages without you knowing' argument?

I'm not sure that 'males have been transgressing women's boundaries for a long time' is the winning point that TRA's seem to think it is.

A clitoris cannot become a penis (and vice versa).

This, all day long.

user1471538275 · 17/04/2025 17:12

Errr... Women killed/assaulted/ raped by men, women killed /assaulted/ raped by trans women

same group

CwmYoy · 17/04/2025 17:12

What makes you think we don't know when there are TW near us? Of course we know but if they aren't bothering us we ignore them.

Females learn to be wary of males from a very early age and we recognise them when we see them. The body shape, the hands, the voice, the stance, the smell and, most of all, the attitude of someone raised male in a patriarchy.

TheSlantedOwl · 17/04/2025 17:12

Meadowfinch · 17/04/2025 16:51

That's not the point.

The point is that the safety and well being of women should not be jeopardised for a tiny tiny minority. Women's protections have been hard won over more than a century and need to be protected.

Of course, that does not alter the fact that anyone going through or on the other side of transition, is a sentient human being and deserves respect and care. It's just that care and respect can take place separately from women.

This.

JeremiahBullfrog · 17/04/2025 17:12

You're right, they're people. Male people are statistically a significant threat to female people and all the evidence suggests this doesn't go away when the male people call themselves women.

UndermyShoeJoe · 17/04/2025 17:13

Also I still don’t want male Children clearly over 8 in changing rooms either.

Another reminder had to go out at swimming because entitled people kept bringing them in and making the little girls uncomfortable. It starts young putting them above the actual people who belong in there no wonder they grow up with such entitlement. Men that is.
