Trans people

Firstly, I'm a trans ally

Everyone is up in arms about trans women. What seems to be forgotten these people are human beings. Where is humanity. You have probably been sharing toilets and coming into contact with trans women every day and have no idea. You only hear about the few bad ones. In a public toilet, you go into a cubical and pee. Its not like you're sat there in full public view with your knickers at your ankles.

What has been forgotten also, as many females are changing to. So trans men. So you're in hospital in a ward. The woman in the next bed, identifys as George, clit is now a penis fully working and you're in the next bed! Same person can wander around female only spaces as the law has changed. George can now only be searched by a female. By the way George a transgender man is a pervert! All hypothetical but nobody has brought this up.

Just a thought.

Oh good grief: learn some biology. This is real life, not some badly written science fiction. A clitoris cannot be transformed into a fully working penis 🤦🏻‍♀️

BryantVibes · 17/04/2025 16:56

While I agree that everyone deserves to be treated with respect, I don’t believe we should be ignoring biological reality in the name of inclusivity. This isn’t about hatred or discrimination — it’s about protecting single-sex spaces and ensuring the safety, dignity, and privacy of women, particularly in vulnerable settings like hospital wards and prisons.

Allowing biological males into female-only spaces creates a safeguarding risk. There have already been incidents where this policy has been abused, and brushing these off as isolated cases ignores the very reason we have safeguarding protocols in the first place. We don’t base those on feelings or self-declared identity — we base them on facts, risk, and protecting the vulnerable.

The OP suggests we’ve all shared toilets with trans women without knowing it — that may be true, but the point is, when a person is biologically male and legally allowed to access women’s spaces, it undermines the purpose of those protections. Everyone has the right to live as they choose, but not when it compromises others’ rights to safety and privacy.

TooFancyNancy · 17/04/2025 16:56

Yabu, I think you’re entirely missing the point.
I came to say what @Meadowfinch said but they already summed it up perfectly!

bridgetreilly · 17/04/2025 16:55

Nope. For a male foetus, the clitoris develops into a penis. For a trans man, a clitoris is deformed into something vaguely resembling a penis. It’s still not a penis, though.

same as a vagina cannot be made a proper one. I’ve read some horror stories about them as well. Growing hairy inside as often arm skin is used if not enough ahem meat to play with.

Darkmorningsarethepits · 17/04/2025 16:57

Oh wow I hadn’t thought of any of these scenarios. Oh you have totally got me on side now. What a fool I’ve been.

OldDemdike · 17/04/2025 16:57

George is welcome to have the bed next to me in hospital because George is a woman. Unlike the transwomen you mentioned. Those men will now have to stay out of our spaces. This is now a fact in law, whether you like it or not.

CarrotParrot · 17/04/2025 16:53

Clit is now a fully working penis?

Bollocks

I expect they make those out of the ovaries Hmm

PrimalLass · 17/04/2025 16:59

No one has forgotten about any of this. It has been discussed ad infinitum. For years. Humans still can't change sex.

Shetlands · 17/04/2025 16:59

If you're a trans supporter then join some trans groups to help them campaign for their own facilities eg refuges, changing rooms, toilets, sports categories...

Or does your trans support focus on denying women their rights to single sex spaces and sports?

PrimalLass · 17/04/2025 16:59

clit is now a penis fully working

Also, no.

No, it doesn’t turn into bollocks either.

😂

AgnesX · 17/04/2025 17:01

Law needs to be balanced off against practicality.

What will probably happen is that to solve the immediate problem and idleness people would be put into side rooms. They'll continue to disadvantage disabled people by using accessible toilets and other facilities. And there'll be continuing whinging, whining and protesting about everything else by the vociferous few.

There's always going to be an issue somewhere; this particular genie can't be shoved back in it's box. It's going to take a long time to sort it.

Kendodd · 17/04/2025 17:01

Just one thing.
I very much doubt women have been sharing spaces without noticing. Transwoman stick out a mile and are easy to spot, very, very few pass. And yes, I do know/have known lots of transwomen.

UndermyShoeJoe · 17/04/2025 17:01

Also it’s not transphobia to dump your husband because he wants to become your wife.

That’s actually very trans supporting because she supports you in your new gendering 😉

Seem that so many times women being called phobic because they don’t want to stay with men transitioning like hmm

user1471538275 · 17/04/2025 17:01

We have not forgotten our humanity.

We fully embrace humanity in it's sexual binary.

We embrace individuals exploring their personal style, playing sports and accessing healthcare within their correct sex category.

We're happy to have George with us in our sex specific ward, with their damaged clitoris - they don't pose a greater threat to us than when they were called Georgina.

PrimalLass · 17/04/2025 17:01

Mog65 · 17/04/2025 16:53

The clitoris is used in the making of the penis.

A sewn-on sausage made from arm is not a fully working penis.

murasaki · 17/04/2025 17:01

OK, I'll bite, in what way to you think George is a man rather than a woman with plastic surgery?

Certainly my 77 year mother, who has been in and out of hospital a lot recently and with whom I've had a lot of chats about this, would rather George in the next bed than Georgina the TIM.

FeministUnderTheCatriarchy · 17/04/2025 17:02

"You have probably been sharing toilets and coming into contact with trans women every day and have no idea."

Oh come off it.
We always, always know.

I live in Thailand where the Lady Boys are exceptionally effeminate, slender men with breast implants, long hair and they make every effort to look exactly like a woman and you can still always tell.

I'm sorry, but you are utterly delusional to think that a woman hasn't evolved to know exactly how to assess danger within the first few seconds of looking at someone. We clock exactly what sex someone is immediately due to the threat that men are to us.

And in case you didn't know, since you're such a good ally... The concept of "passing" is considered to be massively transphobic and elitist. So you may want to work on that if you're going to run in those circles.

They can have safe, third spaces designed for the. Just like we did when designing disabled loos.

Their rights shouldn't be at the cost of women's. It is as simple as that.

Oryx54321 · 17/04/2025 17:02

As a woman, I feel far less threatened by a trans man than a trans woman. Men do not feel threatened by trans men either - that’s why it’s not central to the discussion.

GCITC · 17/04/2025 17:03

Yes, in a public toilet you do just go into a cubical and pee.

So why the insistence that transwomen do that with women and not with men?

Transwomen should use the single sex space that relates to their sex, just as all other men.

Why should one subset of males get special treatment over any other subset?

SnakesAndArrows · 17/04/2025 17:03

Mog65 · 17/04/2025 16:53

The clitoris is used in the making of the penis.

You don’t actually believe it’s possible to create a fully functional penis out of a woman’s clitoris and arm flesh, do you?

To counteract the usual TRA drivel for anyone who is interested -

https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/womens_rights/3145470-Break-it-down-for-me

The footstamping at women finally getting their shit back has been hilariously predicable.

And just to point out, the Supreme Court decision has simply clarified what should have been happening, not the mire of self id which lobbying groups have misled everyone was the law.

Break it down for me? | Mumsnet

Hi all, I am fairly new to the discussion on the impact that transwomen are having on women generally and I want to more fully understand the issues (...

MyUmberSeal · 17/04/2025 17:04

You can’t ejaculate from a clit thats been tampered with and fashioned into a penis, and impregnate a woman (yes an actual woman) with it.
Its just that… a clit that’s been made to look like a penis.

YABU.
