Rolling over thread as JD Vance and Trump are still fucking idiots.

I feel like somebody needs to play them against each other.

I keep hoping they will turn on each other, or on Musk. Surely only a matter of time? Not enough space for their three absolutely gigantic egos in the universe the White House.

I reckon Trump will fire JD and blame him for all this “mess” with Zelensky . trump is known to scapegoat those around him and tell a twisted tale, so now people are outside with banners I reckon he will look for a way to blame to Vance

I was really surprised to watch the video, I only caught up with it last night.

What struck me is it was two on one, why did trump need his number 2 there? Zelensky was never going to get 50% of the conversation in like that.

Moreover I was amazed that this guy who was speaking in a second language and doing a great job of it wasn't even allowed to get his words out.

The business of "did you even say thank you?" was extremely undiplomatic and unprofessional of Vance. That's the sort of thing you say to your five year old. I'm aware that trump is old enough to be Zelenskyy's father but Vance isn't!!

I don't fully understand all the ins and outs of this war, but this was truly a moment thay will go down in history.

Seeing Mr Zelenskyy having a nice cup of tea with our PM this morning was a balm to my senses.

I did think, however, that he was doing an amazing job of body language and facial expresssions. There was even one in there that I could have sworn was "Beam me up Scotty".

The propaganda mill in the US is working overtime to blame the whole thing on Zelensky for perceived disrespect to the US.

Zelensky is the first leader not to kiss Trump's arse and was absolutely set up to fail. He stood up to the bully.

Me too; I know what you mean. God knows our Labour government is far from perfect and Starmer has his detractors, but at least we can be confident that he's not going bully and shout at the head of state of one of allies on live TV.

I did not know one third of Americans describe themselves as evangelical Christians. That is huge, and we need to remember in the UK that our societies are fundamentally different.
