Will they really still be open at 6 though

RedToothBrush · 24/12/2024 14:00

We have similar plans.

We are playing cheese roulette. We have no cheese in. We need cheese.

LeftoverTurkeyPie · 24/12/2024 14:02

They shut at 6 don’t they?
Go at 5.40.

2 years ago I got a massive turkey for £3.60, that’s my best bargain to date. Morrisons though, not M&S.

There’s one in the city near us that says it’s open till 9pm! If that’s right, it’s pretty shite for the people that work there.

PermanentTemporary · 24/12/2024 14:02

Blimey I wouldn't go later than 4. You're braver than me!

Potentialmadcatlady · 24/12/2024 14:03

Nope Christmas pjs aren’t coming off 😂

sparkletin · 24/12/2024 14:03

Ours closes at 4pm

fivebyfivebuffy · 24/12/2024 14:04

I need some milk and was going to have a look while I was out
My options are
Booths
M&S
Aldi

Can't decide! Booths and Aldi do too good to go bags so they might have all the good stuff in there...

MonopolyQueen · 24/12/2024 14:04

I want to play!!! But I’m working. I got some amazing bargains in Waitrose one Christmas Eve,we dined like kings for a whole week!

fivebyfivebuffy · 24/12/2024 14:05

Oh I have Waitrose as well which I never usually go to

My branch closes at 7pm, apparently according to the Sun, best to get there at 6pm for the bargains!

Thinking about it but don't know if I CBA. We really don't need anything, the freezer is full and I'm trying to run it down as I've no idea what's in there.

But I'm tempted by all the lovely seafood.

Are you hitting Marks and Spencer too or a different supermarket?

Last year they were practically giving away the seafood! People were picking up stacks of smoked salmon.

By 1pm there was no short dated food left in either Lidl or Waitrose here. They discounted at 12.30 and people were waiting!

There was a brilliant Reddit post a while ago about a lad who got a Christmas temp job at M&S. All the staff told him to hang on until closing on Xmas Eve and he would pick up real bargains. He waited and then ran round the store after closing and got the entire family Christmas dinner for about 5 quid.
