I know some people pronounce the 'l' in Almond, but I don't think it can be many. I've never heard it except from my husband and it drives me nuts (!)

So how many do?

I think my speech is littered with incorrect l's. I love an ah-mond croissant too.

There are estimated to be 56 different accents in the UK yet minds boggle on theses threads every single time in utter astonishment that people pronounce words differently.

I pronounce it all-mund or al-mund or maybe even awe-mund - but awe-mund and all-mund sound very similar to my ear.

I don't think I've ever pronounced it ar-mund or ah-mond though.

Who knew there were so many ways to say it? It had never occurred to me before.

In the West Country it's pronounced "aumund".
