Something big is coming ...

Help me get a grip!

I have a horrible horrible feeling in my stomach that something big globally is about to kick off. I can't shake the feeling.

I know it's nonsense and I don't believe in all the woo stuff. I don't really believe in premonitions etc.. but I've only had this feeling once before and that was October 6th last year, and obviously things didn't pan out too well after that.

It's really stressing me out.

Please tell me the world will be the same tomorrow as it is today, my feelings last year were just coincidence, and I should just try and ignore this weirdness!

Has anyone had a feeling like before and all has been well?

Anyone know what these feelings are about? ... the science?

Thanks

A sense of impending doom is sometimes a symptom of an approaching heart attack, I read somewhere. That obviously didn't happen to you on 6th October so I imagine you'll be OK this time!

👍 thanks! Someone upthread also mentioned this. I think I'll be ok, but given recent bad migraine I am gonna just check in with myself health wise a bit today. Heart feels ok though so far! 🙂💛

I'm just disappearing to get some chocolate and get on with some work! Thanks for your posts so far and sorry if I don't reply for a little while.

Has anyone had a feeling like before and all has been well?

I recall quite clearly going to school in 1962, I would have been 14, and we didn't know if we would be going home. It was during the Cuban Missile Crisis and the deadline was that day, if the Russian ships didn't turn round then America would attack them with the almost certain nuclear retaliatory attack by Russia.
In the event the Russians turned back, 'the other guy blinked' was a phrase used at the White House allegedly and it was only in later years that the whole story gradually became known, how there had been secret deals done,

Augustus40 · 12/11/2024 11:02

I am into astrology but not mundane astrology as I do not find it at all accurate. Mundane astrologers forecast world themes.

Allegedly we are ripe for an all out nuclear war. If it happens it will be this month of November. So it is being reported by various adtrologers.

Personally although I find individual chart analysis very accurate I have never found mundane astrology accurate. Anyway time will tell!

Hopefully nothing will happen.

LBFseBrom · 12/11/2024 11:03

I wondered that too. I googled and nothing came up. I know fuel bills and mortgage rates went up a lot in October last year but doubt it is that.

That's not a feeling out of the blue though is it? The Cuban Missile Crisis was huge!

Mosalahiwoukd · 12/11/2024 11:03

I don’t think you’re
some kind of soothsayer OP! Something big somewhere in the world may well happen tomorrow, the world’s a big place.
Israel are commuting genocide, the leaders of many countries- including the USA now- are egomaniacs and/or dictators, our planet is struggling so we have extreme weather events everywhere…

You can’t control any of this- focus on the smaller day to day things that you have control over… that would be my advice. Look for the good in people and the world, there is a lot of it.

JudgeJ · 12/11/2024 11:03

Edingril · 12/11/2024 10:09

So you are the one person in the world to be able to predict it?

I wonder how often the OP had these feelings of catastrophe and nothing happened? We all remember being right, we tend to forget being wrong!

RedHelenB · 12/11/2024 11:04

The world won't be the same tomorrow as it is today because it's always changing.

Again, a nuclear war would hardly be a massive surprise? All these 'feelings' people have, it's hardly foretelling a complete surprise is it ?

anyolddinosaur · 12/11/2024 11:04

Well the astrology post is cheerful. Look at how many people make claims for Nostradamus prophecies and how much they have to stretch them to claim a fit. Look at how many end of the world predictions they have been. Old enough to remember how every computer would collapse in 2000?

EuclidianGeometryFan · 12/11/2024 11:05

MigraineHangover · 12/11/2024 10:06

On October 6th I had a weird feeling something globally big l, and bad, was about to happen. It's the same feeling I have now. I've never had it before. I went to bed with the fear.

The next day - October 7th, a huge and catastrophic tragedy unfolded in Israel and since then thousands upon thousands of innocent men, women and children have died at the hands of the IDF in Gaza. 😥

Assume for the moment that your feelings really are prophetic. That you really did feel the massacres coming.
What difference has it made to your life? Do you live in Israel or Gaza? Do you have family or friends who live there? Are you even Jewish or Muslim?

If not, you are "borrowing trouble".

Feel the fear, feel the triumph of vindication if something does happen.
Then switch off the news and get on with your life.

anyolddinosaur · 12/11/2024 11:06

I have your answer, OP - it has snowed in Saudi Arabia.

Can you relax now?

oakleaffy · 12/11/2024 11:07

MigraineHangover · 12/11/2024 10:08

Nope. Only Oct 6th last year. I think that's why I'm worrying now, but I'm pretty sure it's just coincidence? Just feels so unnerving.

Israelis and Palestinians will always be 'tit for tat'- they have been doing it for decades, and no sign of it ever ending- with innocent people caught in the crossfire.

I do feel that for people very close to us we can get a 'sense' - but not for world things.

In the 1980's people feared being nuked - that was a very frightening time.

Don't listen to the news.

It's always depressing. There is no rule that says ''Thou shalt listen to the news every day''- Dad used to say ''Don't you follow the news?'' with incredulity.

No- and what purpose does it serve if it just makes people depressed and fearful?

Sometimes being an ostrich is better for us.

BellaBlythe · 12/11/2024 11:08

@EuclidianGeometryFan ,I like your phrase. "Borrowing Trouble". I will borrow it from time to time. Thanks

WinchSparkle80 · 12/11/2024 11:09

Can we wait til next week please, as it’s my birthday on Sunday.

On a serious note though, I get very down after a migraine attack and anxious so I think there is something in it. It is a lot worse feeling than beer fear, but I find a long walk sorts it out.

AgileGreenSeal · 12/11/2024 11:10

Do you watch the news a lot?

Bearjok · 12/11/2024 11:10

Fireworknight · 12/11/2024 10:03

What happened on October 6th last year?

Nothing 😂😂😂

we r tryna make him/her feel better

Differentstarts · 12/11/2024 11:14

Yes Christmas 🎄 🎅 ⛄️🎁 🥂

SapphireSeptember · 12/11/2024 11:15

If it's any consolation I once left work and rushed home because I felt really uneasy. Just a dull grey day but I felt really scared, and asked my ex-H if anything was on the news. Nothing had happened.

On the other hand, I spent ages crying at work earlier this year because I was pregnant and someone on the radio was talking about Putin detonating an atomic bomb in the next five years. I just could not deal with that. (Wouldn't have happened if my colleague had changed the radio station either!)

TwentyBillion · 12/11/2024 11:17

I too am quite old. And realise the more things change the more they stay the same!

As a child I we were taught about the 4 minute warning. Which was, for those of you who don't know, the approximate length of time it would take a nuclear missile to attack the UK from The Soviet Union. If I remember rightly we were told to go in a cupboard or under a table!!

Throughout the following years as a PP poster has said there has been numerous conflicts and scary world events.

How many hours did we all spend watching the conflict in Ukraine when it kicked off? However I bet before Trump's election you hadn't even thought of it much.

So you have to get on with your life. Best advice on here is to stop watching the news at the moment.

Hope you find relief soon OP. Flowers

Dramatic · 12/11/2024 11:18

I'm a migraine sufferer and they do make you feel a bit weird from time to time so I'd imagine it's just that. Hopefully 😂

Edingril · 12/11/2024 10:09

So you are the one person in the world to be able to predict it?

Well yes, old mother shipton and Nostradamus have a rival. Something catastrophic will happen today like it does every day op. Do you describe yourself as an empath as well ?

PurebredRacingUnicorn · 12/11/2024 11:25

Itoldyousoo · 12/11/2024 10:19

They say to see a doctor if you have a feeling like this.

That's definitely what the underworked medical profession needs.

I don't want to seem like I don't take what happened to Israel last October seriously but something terrible happens everyday if you look for it.. Wars, natural disaster, terrorist attacks. basically everyday in Palestine since October last year. The world is huge!

So you would have always been able to find something that proved your 'feeling' whatever day it was
