Extremely worried for Sarah. Last sighting was the early hours of Saturday morning getting in to a black Vauxhall car in Camden. Please share.

She’s from my neck of the woods originally. It’s very concerning.

thingymijigi · 03/11/2024 19:20

I hope she's safe and in touch with friends and family soon

mrshoho · 03/11/2024 19:21

I don't know her personally but it seems completely out of character and she doesn't have her phone. I hope she returns safely.

I've just seen about this. She was wearing a black dress when last seen and it has been shown on the news.

SensibleSigma · 03/11/2024 19:24

I’ve shared locally on FB as well.

SquirmOfEels · 03/11/2024 19:25

LBC now reporting that there is now an official police appeal.

And they say she has links to both Camden and Wandsworth

Laiste · 03/11/2024 19:31

It's quite early days isn't it? Less than 48 hours.

What are the specifics on this which are making the police so worried?

Genuine question. I don't mean to sound like a cow, just that being on the news ect already seems a lot.

Perhaps she's not usually out in the early hours with no coat?

Could have had a row at home and gone off and has been reported in case she gone off to harm herself etc

The reports say she left her friend's airb&b and was last seen by someone she knows getting into a black car but never reached home. Her friends are really worried.

Really hope she’s found soon.

Laiste · 03/11/2024 19:43

Good points.
Really hope she is found safe and sound.

Bumping thread again.

Tinaforshort · 03/11/2024 19:46

How awful for her friends and family. Hopefully she will return home safe and well soon.

NinaLively · 03/11/2024 19:53

Ive seen lots on social media about this. Her boyfriend has her phone and is posting from it, so worrying she didn't take it with her. Really hoping for her safe return.

Why is her boyfriend posting from her phone and not his own?

I think it's so he can share from her Facebook so it reaches everyone on her friends list.

mrshoho · 03/11/2024 19:59

I'm just hoping that there's a simple explanation and she's safe wherever she is.

Laiste · 03/11/2024 20:02

I'm surprised the police don't have her phone to be honest.

They probably do now.

Hopefully she’s found safe soon.

AutumnLeaves24 · 03/11/2024 20:14

it seems strange the police (& everyone else) is saying she's 'missing' so soon, she's a young woman, but a proper adult, not an 18yo 'adult' at her age I was travelling loads & would have been apoplectic at being reported 'missing' after such a short time.

Was her boyfriend with her at her friends B&B?

why was she leaving a B&B at 2:30 am to go home?

Was the car she got in a friends or an Uber?

sorry more questions than answers 🥲

I so hope she turns up soon.

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 03/11/2024 20:17

Gosh hope she’s found safe and well

Based on the information given so far, she left without a phone and was seen getting into a black car after leaving a b&b and was not wearing a coat.

That indicates to me she left after a row and the person picking her up was either a stranger or someone pre arranged to pick her up but since then she hasn't made contact with boyfriend, friends or family.

SquirmOfEels · 03/11/2024 20:19

Yes it is unusual to make an appeal early on, but it does happen when there are serious concerns for the person.

NFI on the car - as it was reported as a black car (not cab or minicab with light/insignia) then it's likely to be an Uber (or other app-based ride), a car she mistook for her Uber, or someone else she'd agreed to have a lift from. Police will be looking in to this, and hopefully can get an early lead on the car from CCTV/ANPR

It's a bit of a myth that waiting to declare someone missing is the best course of action. If someone is missing, especially a woman who was travelling at 2/3am, it's important to get the word out as quickly as possible. For all we know she told someone she was on her way home and never turned up. We don't know the circumstances.
