Extremely worried for Sarah. Last sighting was the early hours of Saturday morning getting in to a black Vauxhall car in Camden. Please share.

I’m struggling to make sense of it. She lives with her boyfriend in Wandsworth and there had been no row but she was staying at a bnb without him in Camden. Why was she staying at a bnb so close to home?

Was it a bnb or an Airbnb? I’ve heard both terms used but they’re very different things. Her friend who posted here said it was a bnb where she was staying. If it was at an Airbnb it could have been a party which would make more sense.

Either way it sounds as though there were others in the property she left and she popped outside for a moment alone at 2:30am and during that time ended up getting into an unknown car, unplanned.

The circumstances reported are very strange and don’t really add up to me.

CalicoPusscat · 04/11/2024 06:01

One newspaper article says it was an apartment block, the information is very confusing

Cornflakelover · 04/11/2024 06:16

Ive been following that case as I have family& friends in Bristol

it’s interesting how this has already so much publicity and the police are already doing appeals when in Jacks case they have been absolutely shit and most of it been left to the parents and family to raise public awareness

Jack told his mum he was getting a taxi home
and never got home ids been 8 months this weekend

police think he fell into the water

yet his phone was pinged at least 5 -10 min walk away from any water and he’s never been seen since
like Sarah it was out of character of him and he was trying to find a taxi to get home

the family have had huge support from local papers and people

but the police have been absolutely shit and have had a complaint made against them by the family as they refused to release certain information with regards to jacks phone and failed to spot Jack in cctv and didn’t get cctv that could have helped
His mum found cctv that showed him nowhere near the water ( police missed this )

Thousands of people & local press pressured EE recently to release phone data which the police wouldn’t release despite the phone actually belonging to jacks mum Catherine

It’s ok, I think they’re just asking for people to keep an eye out, not pore over the personal details of her life.

Lochroy · 04/11/2024 06:57

I do hope she's found swiftly.

And whilst I get that we don't need to know the details, all anyone needs to do is keep an eye out, it's human nature to wonder what the background was.

No, this information has been released as part of the appeal, presumably because they’re hoping it might jog someone’s memory and someone might come forward with more information.

I haven’t poured over details of her personal life, I’ve just pointed out that some of the information which has been released seems contradictory and is difficult to piece together or make sense of.

Came on here to see if there was any more info on what’s happened. Really hope there is some innocent explanation and she’s back soon. It’s got to be slightly more hopeful when there were multiple people in the car. I know you get lone weirdos but the chances of two people being so sick are hopefully a lot lower🤞🏻
The fact she has no phone is also hopefully promising in a way as it would be more concerning if she had it and hadn’t phoned. Hope she manages to contact someone soon and let them know she’s okay. Will be keeping an eye for updates

That’s what I was thinking too. Hoping she’s ok and found today

I think best to assume at this point that the family and police are also still trying to piece things together and there may be some slightly conflicting info along the way whilst the finer details are still being established.

I was shocked when I read the lengths the parents had to go to to find cctv of the night and any sightings of him. I think by the time they were able to speak to businesses etc some of it was already gone. I feel so bad for them.

HelenHywater · 04/11/2024 07:35

I live fairly close to the area - my dd was working in Camden on Sat night. She's shared this too.

One of the alerts I saw early on said that Sarah is vulnerable.

I hope she's found. My children are out in Camden all the time and I can't imagine what her family and friends are going through.

Laiste · 04/11/2024 07:41

As much as it's natural to want to get a sense of what was going on that night i think we have to be mindful of the fact that there's a danger of this turning into the type of thing which happened online when Nicola Bully went missing.

Good that there's interest enough to keep this thread up and good for awareness to spread, but lets try not to become armchair Sherlock Holmes'es.

Yes that’s right
the police took the attitude of
young male
went to a party
walking past water
fell in and drowned
case closed

apart from the fact that jacks phone was pinged at leaf 5 -10 mins away from the water

he told his mum Catherine he was trying to get a taxi

no history of any sort of mental health / going missing before

he was spotted in cctv walking away from the water bug the police missed that

This is terrible and so sad. His poor family.

I think it might be more considerate and sensitive @fashionqueen0123, @Cornflakelover and any other posters who are wanting to talk about Jack O’ Sullivan to start their own thread, especially when they are clearly friends and Family of Sarah on here.

But the alternative is what poor Jacks family are going through.

The only way stories like this remain in the news is because of people's interest. Compare the interest between Nicola Bulley and Gaynor Lord.

The more I read about how Jack's disappearance has been treated by the police the more I realise that anyone talking/speculating/looking is better than the alternative.

Sarah's disappearance is more widely known now due to her friends and social media, I've still not seen anything on the news. I pray she is found safe.

mrshoho · 04/11/2024 08:13

I had been hopeful she would have been found overnight. Hopefully cctv will eventually identify the car and the other passengers. Someone must have information of where she went from there.

The case in Bristol of Jack O'Sullivan is just heartbreaking. I've got a Son away at University and can only imagine the nightmare his family are going through.

This. Salacious speculation from armchair detectives will not be helping her friends and family. Have we learned nothing from the Nicola Bulley case? If you live locally, keep your eyes peeled. Everyone else needs to leave the job of policing to the actual police.

IkeaJesusChrist · 04/11/2024 08:17

Isn't there a school on the road Sarah was allegedly last seen on?

Hopefully the school has CCTV, Camden itself has a lot of CCTV but there's still blackspots off the beaten track.

Jamestown is a bit of a party area with bars and pubs so hopefully the CCTV will yield something.

Absolutely

BerriesAndWinterMists · 04/11/2024 08:35

My feeling is that as with all missing persons cases, the police and family want sightings. Not speculation - just sightings. That's the trade-off that's painful for the family and friends - they need to keep the case in the public eye in order to encourage people to check their CCTV, video doorbells, and memories; and to physically check spaces; but the speculation that bounces around is intrusive and extremely hurtful.

hamsandyams · 04/11/2024 08:41

This is terrifying. I read about a theory that drew parallels between Nicola Bulley, Victoria Taylor and Gaynor Lord theorising that they could be linked as they have a lot of overlap - which makes it seem all the more sinister when a woman for a similar demographic goes missing.

I hope she’s found safe.

PandoraSox · 04/11/2024 08:52

I hope she is found soon. I agree with all the posters who have said speculation is really not helpful or appropriate.

Yes exactly. She is a friend of a friend and reading people’s faux nativity arm chair sleuthing is really making me cross. She’s a talented artist and deserves respect, not for idiots twats on MN to gossip over.

Thisismynamechangeagain · 04/11/2024 08:53

I’ve posted similar before on missing people’s threads, as I have a family member missing for a number of years and is talked about a lot online.

Friends, family read these posts and in this case it’s not even up for debate they’re literally on this thread and people think it’s appropriate to go full arm chair detective and pull wild theories out of their ass.

What helps missing people: keeping it in the public eye, by sharing posters with people you know live in the area, reminding them to keep a look out, ditto fb groups, bumping threads with pictures so local people might see her face etc sharing any actual solid evidence you have with the police

What doesn’t help: wild I’m going to be a detective and just spew out unsubstantiated theories from my ass. If you have an actual actual actual legit thing, take it the police, coming up with wild theories helps no one and hurts a lot and really think before you post.
