To be incensed that a man cost council tax payers £63,000 for insisting he had a gender fluid Daschund?

£63,000 could have paid for an awful lot of things for the poorest families in Cambridgeshire, instead, thousands of hours and a huge pile of cash has been paid out because of some dickhead, virtue signalling in a meeting

This brave woman did what we all need to do, stood up, called bullshit on something patently absurd, and instead of supporting her, her bosses called her "nasty" and excluded HER from meetings! She's a social worker!

WTF is going on? Is it the backwards decade where we all do the opposite of what's sensible?

The thought of a gender fluid dog is absurd.

Well done to Elizabeth for standing up for common sense and to the judge for seeing it too.

littleHen84 · 17/09/2024 18:13

As an aside to the above what about calling out the ridiculous and often pointless nature of dressing animals and then posing for pictures, placing an animal in a dress to spark debate...they are dogs not props.

On the plus side - this case demonstrates how patently absurd this ‘transphobia’ dogma is.

Awfeck · 17/09/2024 18:15

Dogma 😂

it's almost as if people go deliberately out of their way so say something bloody stupid then roll around on the floor crying foul, in order to signal to the world how virtuous they are...

Dresses don't make you one sex or another. Absolute madness.

Excellent

NewGreenDuck · 17/09/2024 18:33

I'm just praying that the dog's fool of an owner isn't a social worker.

Eddie wouldn’t agree with that.

caramac04 · 17/09/2024 18:39

@NewGreenDuck I thought I read that the dogs owner is a social worker but could be wrong. If they are then frankly they are too batshit to be employed as such.

EPankhurst · 17/09/2024 18:41

Your dog is judging you, mister silly pants.

FOJN · 17/09/2024 18:42

He was a social worker, and was left shaking and unable to sleep. These people are something else.

That's reassuring. Good job that being a social worker isn't a responsible job where emotional stability would be a real asset.

CanYouHearThatNoise · 17/09/2024 18:43

Absolute lunacy. The world has gone stark, raving mad

offyoujollywelltrot · 17/09/2024 18:43

I'm sorry what

Given we all know some of the things social workers are SUPPOSED to have to deal with, day in, day out, how the frak was this poor excuse for a human being allowed into this job?

These people are looking after our children and most vulnerable people - that they can spend this time and energy performatively telling everyone how much they love trans people - even trans fogs! Surely means they should be sacked?

Another one was shaking and traumatised by Lizzy Pitt saying 'they' pronoun for one person isn't grammatically correct .

I'm glad for her sake that the council admitted liability at the last minute but I'm guessing we've all lost out on some amazing tribunal evidence, if this is what they were prepared to defend. Batshit.

Did you mean trans frogs?

To (mis)quote the Manic Street Preachers....If you tolerate this, then your Dachshunds will be next....

I'm surprised the nut job who was traumatised by the misgendering of his dog hasn't been reported to Social Work England for undermining confidence in the profession and bringing it into disrepute. He deserves to be.

Frequency · 17/09/2024 18:50

My dog used to get "misgendered" all the time. I had small children who picked his pink glittery collar and "Princess" tag. He didn't give a shit if he was a "girl" as long it was preceded with "good" and treats followed.

I doubt the daschund cares what gender it is either.

LlynTegid · 17/09/2024 18:51

The £63000 is what the person has been paid. Over and above that there will be the legal fees and the salaries paid for those attending the tribunal.

I'd expect a cost of £100,000 plus in total.
