I read there will be a movie on Britney Spears and I think that should have an open casting call too.

Dd is 9 and a red head. Would be a perfect Ginny. But she hates Harry potter and is shy 😁

Mine is 9 and is going for it. Although I secretly hope she doesn’t get it- imagine the media attention and scrutiny. She loves acting though so we’ll give it a go

I know, as much as I think it would be an amazing experience and opportunity, the scrutiny would be pretty horrendous

DS has asked about casting almost daily since they announced the series.

Sadly, he's 13 now and has the wonkiest teeth (3yrs wait for braces here) and I'm sure they would reject on that basis alone.

I'm assuming they will be super strict but guess you have nothing to lose by submitting the videos and being honest

They will need to cast everyone eventually but don't know if they will do by open call or by reaching out to talent agencies

I wish I could apply 😂 I applied for Luna when they did the open casting calls for her in the movies years ago.

They'll be looking for dozens if not hundreds of extras too, guessing they'll all need to be local. Unsure if they'll be filming at Leavensden like the movies?

I wanted dd to have a go at Hermione but she's not interested - would be too nervous. In fairness I think she'd be too tall as well.

Was too young when the films came out the first time, and didn't become a fan until 2006 and now I'm 15 years too old this time around

My daughter's giving it a go. I know she's so unlikely to get anywhere but I'm hoping she could get offered the opportunity for an extra maybe - she'd absolutely love that experience
