Halloween duvet sets. WTF?

Saw in Home Bargains today. Took no notice of sizes or prices.

This is worse than Xmas bedding and cushions.

I think having themed bedding is pointless and besides you want a Xmas free room to chill out

Pics of the duvet my eldest DC is currently rocking and is over the moon with

Me too, it's great🖤. And I will take this opportunity to share my wall.

Its a bit of fun. Kids love halloween so why not?

I don't get why seasonal bedding or decorations which can be used again and again gets a roasting but people are happy to spend tens of pounds on balloons, a birthday arch or display! Unless these are sold on they can't be used again and even if they are they only have a certain life span. To me they are definitely more wasteful.

When I was a kid. The only Halloween things were those witches hats with green or orange hair, fake noses on elastic, fake blood, plastic vampire teeth and glow in the dark witches fingers which are covered with warts. Oh the devil headband

No clothing at all. Ghost - used an old sheet with holes cut out for eyes.
Mummy - loo roll with bits of red paint
Witch - black bin bag with gold and silver stars etc sprayed on.
Devil - red tracksuit - red tights stuffed with newspaper and cardboard tip for tail. Devil headband.

I don't understand why there is so much angst about duvet covers yet the amount of clothing people have nowadays is off the charts.

It's all a symptom of the same massive overconsumption. None of it is good.

I like the Halloween bedding, as other posters have mentioned a lot of people use this type of decor for the whole autumn season.

I do enjoy that Halloween decor has changed a lot, I've noticed in supermarkets a lot of the items are more reusable and less throw away which I prefer. The bedding is a year after year use thing for me, the same as Christmas bedding is. I think it's nice and brings joy to a lot of people.

Which is great, because people who would love to decorate, but can't afford even primark prices, get an opportunity to.

I buy a lot of Christmas decorations, bedding, kitchen etc. I wait for local appeals for families and then donate. I'm changing my quilt size, do have five Winter/Christmas bed sets to donate. Any tatty ones go to a local gull rescue.
Halloween for us starts in October (but autumn starts Sep 1st). Christmas decorating anytime in December. People call B&M/Home bargains etc Chav while saying it's a shame that the high street is dying off. Us Chavs are keeping retail and lots of jobs going.

IME us chavs wouldn't be seen dead in a charity shop! 😂

My American family do this! They change their bedding, decor, even plates and cups to ‘Fall’ Halloween, Xmas, Spring, Summer etc

Who.could.be.arsed.

And don’t get me started on the themed sweaters…
