Halloween duvet sets. WTF?

Saw in Home Bargains today. Took no notice of sizes or prices.

This is worse than Xmas bedding and cushions.

I think having themed bedding is pointless and besides you want a Xmas free room to chill out

Each to their own. I wouldn’t buy it, but have no issue with someone who does if it makes them happy.

Ludicrous, isn’t it? I was in Morrisons today and they had a whole aisle of Halloween homeware type crap.

I have Halloween bedding on all year. I have 3 sets. Apart from December when I put on my Christmas bedding.

Isn't 'Halloween themed' just Goth? Plenty of people love that all year round.

It is a good thing that buying all of these things is not mandatory. Each to their own, I say😒.

I haven't seen the bedding but I think the little ghost throw is adorable.

We have winter bedding, it’s brushed cotton so it warmer. And the kids have Christmas PJs but will wear them all winter.

But I am WTF about halloween bedding. I don’t really have a leg to stand on. There is also halloween PJ, cushions, throws, towels, bath mats, cups and mugs

It is tattification. This idea that you mark every day in the calendar by buying mindless tat, made in China and shipped round the world to places like B&M or The Range, or direct from tat-sites like Temu and Shein.

Beginning to think the Disney movie Wall-E was actually a documentary.

Ah I see. American Halloween themed, so all cutesy and pumpkin-y. Rather than the skulls and skeletons and Reaper type stuff I was imagining!

Mine is skully, ghosty and spidery. Though I do have some with a black cat in a witches hat.

Well, fortunately we have plenty of easy ways to dispose of endless mountains of disposable crap without any cost or damage to the environment, so I can’t see a problem.

I am guilty of buying Halloween pajamas for the dgc this year. But I don’t see why they can’t wear them all year round. Well all winter at least.

We have ‘Halloween-y’ stuff in our home all year round! Granted, it’s part of a general pagan vibe, so there may be a spider web rug from tkmaxx, then an expensive handmade besom hanging by the door, or a hag stone hanging by the keys.

Fine if it gets a lot of use year after year.
Not fine if people bin it/donate it after just one season.

We live in a consumerist society, where vendors have to keep seeking new ways to separate individuals from their money.

I love them and use them all year! Halloween is my favourite holiday/event and I have more Halloween decorations than Christmas ones (I didn't even bother putting any Xmas ones out last year!). This time of year makes me happy.

It's so wasteful! It's even worse than Christmas bedding because at least you can use Christmas ones for 6 weeks or so

I love halloween themed homeware. The pumpkins, orange colours, leaves, cats etc. Not tat. They make an appearance every autumn for me - not just halloween.
