Saw in Home Bargains today. Took no notice of sizes or prices.

This is worse than Xmas bedding and cushions.

I think having themed bedding is pointless and besides you want a Xmas free room to chill out

@Izzymoon

is it this years or one you've had a while? I'd like a brushed cotton pupkin duvet cover.

It’s new from next. It’s neutral so handy for the whole of autumn rather than too Halloween. Then I have orange pumpkins on the sheet to make it a bit more fun!

I love brushed covers but it’s hard to find them in anything other than tartan sometimes.

SummerSplashing · 30/08/2024 18:19

Candaceowens · 30/08/2024 18:19

Can't relate, as a person who buys Christmas toilet paper

WhenWillWanksWildly · 30/08/2024 18:19

For those who are waiting until September one word. Summerween! You could use it from July through to November.

tennesseewhiskey1 · 30/08/2024 18:21

It's like looking in a mirror!

thank you for replying.

yeah sheets aren't too bad to find but brushed cotton duvets are a bit limited in design

your sheets sound cute!

My Friday night is looking good 🎃 👻

you need to check out george from asda - they do lovely brushed bedding - in all sorts of themes

Prinnny · 30/08/2024 18:25

I’ve bought DD some hocus pocus bedding, I can’t wait to see her little face when she comes home from school to find the house and her bedroom all done up for Halloween. It’s the little things 🥰🎃

@Foxxo

I dont have pumpkin shaped ones, but I'm
guessing mostly just for decoration.

I'm now very inspired to get my wool out tonight & crochet a few small ones for decoration.

DD has 4 sets of bedding - the two we bought her when the room was decorated plus the Halloween and Christmas bedding she bought with her babysitting money and puts on her bed each year.

It brings her a great deal of happiness to do up her room seasonally (different fairy lights plus throws for her chair). Who am I to judge if she enjoys it? It's harmless enough,

@WhenWillWanksWildly

nah, I like my summer stuff too, I love the change in seasons.

I lived overseas for years, one of the things I missed so much was actual seasons.

MouseofCommons · 30/08/2024 18:33

To be fair, it'll last 30+ years or so if you only have it on for a month over Halloween.
I have two duvet covers over 15yrs old and a new Xmas one that'll be used for 2 months every winter. It'll probably see me out.

housethatbuiltme · 30/08/2024 18:33

Goths exist all year round.

Trust me 'halloween' stuff will get loved and used for more than 1 day of the year by many.

SummerSplashing · 30/08/2024 18:34

@BabaYetu

thank you! 🎃

I have a few patterns stored from
previous good intentions!! But will take a look at that one too ☺️

Deeperthantheocean · 30/08/2024 18:36

The day after huge bedding sale lol 😆

flyinghen · 30/08/2024 18:38

I decorate my home according to the seasons, not Halloween though but Autumn (leaves pumpkins). I adore it is my favourite season. I've collected things over the years and I will get them out every single year just like Christmas decorations. It makes me SO happy! I can totally see how Halloween decorations would make some happy too!

I don't have Autumn bedding but I do change my throw blanket and cushion on my bed. Autumn bedding can go on in September and come off again to swap to Christmas bedding (which I also have and love)!

Each to their own :)

SummerSplashing · 30/08/2024 18:39

@MouseofCommons

one of my goddaughters had just nabbed a couple of autumn/halloween duvet covers to take to uni with her. I offered to buy her a couple but she liked mine better than any she could find. Good excuse for me to buy a couple of new ones. I'm enjoying looking!
