Wearing a skimpy bikini around teenage son

I'm late 40's and have recently lost alot of weight. I have treated myself to some new bikinis for an upcoming beach holiday and some are thong styles. I did originally buy the thong ones for when me and DH go away later in the year alone. But every holiday I go on abroad there is so many people younger and older than me showing all their bums! When I was a teen it was rare, but not anymore. Just not sure I'm brave enough or if it would be a massive no with adult/teen children! Wwyd?

Don’t like seeing bums hanging out personally and wouldn’t have liked to witness my mum’s esp if I was a boy 😂 but it’s just down to personal taste 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think the teenager is irrelevant... would rather go on a nudist beach with my kids that wear a thong bikini tbh!!
Hate them! Imo they look grim...
But I don't think they are any more or less appropriate to wear around your own kids than any other bikini. So if you like it then wear it I guess!

yeah I'm just going to go with the majority, don't embarrass your son, save them for your couples break, I hate thongs, they never look good in my experience, Love Island seriously has a lot to answer for

I really don't imagine when the OP and her DH booked the family holiday, they told their teen "If you want to come along, you'll have to stare at your mother's arse crack for a fortnight".

No I wouldn't wear no matter my age or body type. Currently on holiday, 2 young girls with great bodies wearing at the pool and they still looked horrendous. After sitting down for a while when they walk around the bum cheeks are red and blotchy like they've just been slapped! Awful awful. Another girl had one on and hair poking out. They are just nasty! 🤢

Thong bikinis look terrible whatever age you are. Last year on a UK beach there were some teenage/early twenties young women wearing them but as it was a bit cold they had loose longish t shirts over the top. As they walked along with their arse cheeks hanging out it looked exactly like they'd forgotten to put their knickers on.

If you want to wear one then wear it! My teenager doesn’t care what I wear, I probably wouldn’t choose to have my arse out in front of him but I really don’t think he’d be bothered if I did.

I've put YABU because your teen will disown you if you wear a thong bikini in front of him, and thong bikinis do not suit anyone, no matter how peachy their butt is.

I can just about handle it when women wear shorts and parts of their bum cheeks hang out at the bottom with all the cellulite under them. I do wish I was a more confident dresser though but rather keep it classy at the same time.

I am no prude having lived and worked many years, and had both my DC while living in ayia napa. Even I'd draw the line at thong bikinis around dc old enough to notice though ESPECIALLY teenagers, and mine are girls- probably worse of you have boys!

Quite proud of mine, tbh. Never felt the need to embarrass my kids when they were teens, though. Less is more.
