Obviously I can't tell you who to vote for but then there is this:

I couldn’t care less about immigration and I don’t care who other people vote for at all to be honest (I don’t have any love for any political party) but reform want to stop the zero carbon emmisons target which does seem a bit hinged 😂

IfImOnFire · 02/07/2024 14:46

The veiled racism has become too overt, and Farage's attempts to dismiss and minimise it have become too unconvincing.

Hmm, maybe. It wasn't exactly hidden beforehand though. You'd think people might do a bit of research before they decided to stand as a candidate!

RainbowBrightz · 02/07/2024 14:54

I don't understand why people get so hot under the collar whenever the R word is mentioned. They have non-white candidates standing. Are you saying those candidates are either stupid or racist? 🌈

Le Pen and Farage are the same - they are cut from the same cloth.

Yes, I agree. There will always be right wing bigots that vote for right wing bigoted parties. It isn't illegal.

I find it quite helpful when people openly admit to voting Reform, as it tells me exactly what kind of person they are and I know not to bother with them going forward.

An X on a bit of paper does not bestow virtue on whoever wrote it, nor does it make them evil. Voting Labour I'm afraid does not make you a good person or someone in a superior position to others and able to judge them.

Motomum23 · 02/07/2024 14:56

I'd vote for racists over peado sympathisers personally. 🤔

It isn't the X on a bit of paper that makes them shitty people. It is the underlying values that make them choose to put that x where they do.

I agree that voting Labour doesn't make you a good person. But unless you're genuinely too stupid to understand what you're voting for, voting for Reform does make you a racist and therefore a shit person imo. 🤷

You may be misunderstanding this particular election. If you are centre right and don't want to vote Tory then Reform is the only alternative for a protest vote. Most reform voters are presumably not slavering racists. They are not shitty people as far as I know. You must know thousands. Or you've been reading the Guardian too much. You're a good example of why people should keep their political leanings private.

Dontknowwhattodo2024 · 02/07/2024 15:05

@Shortfatsuit I think it’s your sort of attitude that forces people to vote for parties like reform to be honest. These people don’t feel listened to and their worries aren’t taken seriously. Perhaps if people had less judgement conversations things would be better

Is that the political equivalent of "I have black friends so I can't be racist"?

Because people fleeing war zones to give their children a chance at life are the issue here. Right. Not a failure to enact tax on huge corporations, corruption at local government level, a chronic underinvestment in infrastructure with contracts being dished out to unqualified Tory cronies, and a total failure to take responsibility for anything by the current government…..

For the love of everything, don't vote for the saddo racist sexist Reform party

This is very true. It's so tiresome and getting old.

Meh. I'm not forcing anyone to be racist. People are racist because they want to be, not because people like me call it out for what it is.

Anyway, I don't care if they vote Reform. It splits the right wing vote, which is helpful. And the majority of the population are not racist or stupid enough to go down that route so I don't think they present any credible threat. There is no real danger of them getting elected because most people in this country are better than that.

QueenBitch666 · 02/07/2024 15:10

Farage is a fox hunting cretin

The thing is, you can't reason with racism and bigotry. There is no point in wasting time and energy on it.

How do you know all these things? You seem to be able to see into the UK populations very soul! It's amazing
