Show us you're rubbish at maths without telling us you're rubbish at maths.

What?

For everyone "yucking it"
I am quite sure if it was 23y old girl and successful bloke of 42, everyone would tell her to lock and marry him faster.

No he’d be a creepy predator.

Big age gaps either way is equally creepy to me but each to their own

Who are you to police the language the op chooses to use. Get over yourself

Op I have done similar in the past. And actually the sex was quite average but we had the most insane emotional connection. It was all a bit mind-blowing

Who am I? Who are you?

"Get over yourself"?

Grow the fuck up, perhaps?

Theweepywillow · 05/06/2024 20:39

Is that really what you want, to shag some lad who has fantasy about shagging an older woman or doing it for a dare so he can tell his mates.

i mean if you like that and then crack on. But for me shagging someone who is young enough to be your kid is ick. Man or woman doing it,

Wtaf am I reading. Who the heck would say that.

Are you ok with him wanting to think about his mother during sex? If so, go for it.

(There's every chance there's some Freudian stuff going on there. I won't tell you how I know...)

Why would he be thinking about his mother!!!. While having sex.

Awwlookatmybabyspider · 05/06/2024 20:41

Go for it op. You’re both consenting adults. I don’t get why people are saying it’s creepy

LondonFox · 05/06/2024 20:42

yumyumyumy · 05/06/2024 20:30

No they wouldn't. They would say he was disgusting and predatory.

No they would not.
There are multiple threads made by young women who got into relationship and/or pregnant with much older (in most cases much more well off) man.
In every case MN advice or complain is "why did you not get married to protect yourself"?
There is never drama about "it is yuck, why did you go with him".

Barbarella73 · 05/06/2024 20:48

This used to happen to me quite a bit OP. For some of them, it was a ‘bucket list’ type of thing. Others were into milf porn. I remember asking one guy what was in it for me, and he said the pleasure of teaching him! What a tempting offer 😂

OP, I think you should ask yourself what’s in it for you, and be honest with yourself. Because for them, it’s not about You the person - it’s just about you being an older woman. Maybe that’s okay with you, only you know the answer.

CrappyJob · 05/06/2024 20:48

Have you never heard of Freud? The Oedipus Complex? Or at a really base level, incest?

Some men have a thing for their mother... and they want to act on it with older women that aren't their mother.

determinedtomakethiswork · 05/06/2024 20:04

Show us you're rubbish at maths without telling us you're rubbish at maths.

I'm guessing you just haven't heard of it or struggle with maths? Half 42, plus 7 is 28, that would be the lower limit. The inverse operation would be minus 7 then double, so 70, the upper limit.

No one has to follow the rule if they don't want to but it tends to line up with what I would find creepy myself. I also, personally, wouldn't go older than a parent or younger than a child.

LordPercyPercy · 05/06/2024 20:53

You're both adults. If anyone personally finds large age gaps creepy, I suggest they don't have one themselves.

LordPercyPercy · 05/06/2024 20:56

Freud was an idiot. He totally missed women struggling with backgrounds in CSA and instead decided they had penis envy.

There are plenty of comments on these threads about why on earth did a young women get shacked up with a man old enough to be her father and his these relationships are often predatory and controlling - it’s usually a pretty even split

BlondeFool · 05/06/2024 21:01

Urgh. My daughter is 22 so this gives me the ick.

Freud was an idiot. He totally missed women struggling with backgrounds in CSA and instead decided they had penis envy.

The fact that he came up with bullshit theories to explain behaviours that he had observed, doesn't take away from the fact that the behaviours exist.

LaBelleEtLeBadBoy · 05/06/2024 21:09

A 23-year old pursued me when I was 30. He just seemed like a kid.

It was too weird for me then, let alone at 42.

I also wouldn’t want to be fetishised for my ‘oldness’ (!) It’s just like someone looking for weirder porn because they’re desensitised to the usual stuff.

Would find it all sordid. And not at all sexy!

Snugglemonkey · 05/06/2024 21:12

LostTheMarble · 05/06/2024 18:59

To add - the fact he wants to sleep with older women is very likely to mean he’s crap in bed and wants a more ‘experienced’ woman to be his teacher (massive ick in itself). He probably thinks (and would be proving as much if you went ahead) that older women are an easier shag target because they want to be validated about their ability to still ‘get it’ with extra points for getting a man half their age. So maybe in terms of ‘just a shag’ at these ages, it’s less creepy and just a bit sad really. One who can’t find a woman his own age to build a great sexual relationship with and one who just wants their ‘sexual prowess’ validated.

How judgemental! How do you leap to he is crap in bed? This is such a big reach!

Snugglemonkey · 05/06/2024 21:12

Because he’s 23, on a dating app actively trying to shag older/more experienced women. He may not be a crap shag but all the flags are flying in that direction. Or he’s just another bloke who’s life revolves around his dick and perversions 🤷‍♀️

Kokomjolk · 05/06/2024 21:17

I'm mid 30s and I wouldn't sleep with someone in their early 20s. I find it sleazy and repellent but it's not illegal obviously so it's your choice.

This is 100x more creepy than the op. Do you think MN exists in some Victorian era reality?

Oblomov24 · 05/06/2024 21:19

That's too Much. 29 years, he's 1/2 your age. It's you much. Unbalanced. An abuse of power. Please don't.

gamerchick · 05/06/2024 21:20

Its a fetish. Could be a decent lay but i personally couldn't. Its younger than my son
