So, summer in nearly upon us and I still haven't gotten into shape!
AIBU to ask some of you to join me in a 30 day challenge to strive towards being a little bit healthier?
My aim is to get up early every morning and do a 30 min walk/run and stick to a healthy diet.
I'm hoping we could all post a message every night/other night updating on our progress and being a support of sorts to each other to keep us focused on our long term goal.
Anyone up for it?

A not great weekend food wise. Been busy building furniture and just fancied some junky food. Not as bad as my binges have been so positives! In the past I've polished off a 4 pack of chocolate bars, family bag of crisps and 4 cornettos. Today i stopped at half a bag of crisps and 2 chocolate bars and 1 Cornetto. This is huge progress for me!!

Tomorrow is a new day. I'm having a lazy one as this week has been nuts with sorting the house and garden and i deserve a break!!

Another 💛 for yesterday

Did 30 ds
Breakfast - tropical protein smoothie
Lunch - didn't have any as I had my breakfast really late. Just had a handful of dds crisps
Dinner - bbq chicken skewers and chips (not many chips though)
Snacks - the handful of crisps and 5 cookies

Off out for the day so hopefully will manage to make good choices! Need to do day 16 of 30ds asap this morning as I've woken up late and we've got a bit of a drive. Hope everyone has a good day 😊

Morning all. Off to my first ever pilates class today. Been too nervous to try it until now.

I fell off a little bit yesterday as I had fast food for lunch, but I did keep it a small meal and had a diet drink.

Hi everyone. The sun is shining and so I’m feeling inspired to try and focus so I can fit in my summer clothes in a few weeks time! Yesterday was broadly good. I’m not expecting much when I weigh in tomorrow but feel I’ve got me head in the right space now. Normality returns next week when I’m back to work, so I’ll commit to 1 swim, 1 Gym and 1 cycle in the next 7 days. Have a lovely Sunday everyone.

I’m still just maintaining, suspect partly because I’ve been so sedentary post leg surgery. I have a week and a bit now back at work before the second operation, but not sure it’s realistic to exercise much as I’m still recovering from the first. Not gaining is a win for me, I think.

I started about a year ago and try go twice a week. I am still in beginners class, I don’t see myself moving up to Level 2 anytime soon, my upper body is so weak. But I do enjoy it.

I enjoyed it but it's very difficult! I definitely need to get my fitness up.

A ❤️ day so far today. Have eaten well with no snacks and managed day 8 of 30ds. I'm not weighing myself but I am definitely feeling fitter. Just my aching knees letting me down!! My plan now is to download MFP to keep a closer track of the calories. I'm estimating between 1400 and 1600 a day currently but want to be a bit more exact.

Pretty good week, despite aeroplane cold derailing most of my swimming.
2 pounds down
77,000 ish steps, only 3.5km swum, 3x25min ish weights classes and my PT decided Friday was legs day.
3 G&Ts over 2 days as it’s been sunny.
1.2 pounds til I hit the stone loss 💖

Went into London today, this was my first day that could potentially rerail, but I managed to avoid junk food. My meals weren't exactly normal but I'm well under my calories and managed to do well with protein:

B: protein shake
L: chicken salad sandwich, yoghurt and banana
D: protein shake, pack of chicken breast slices

Tomorrow I am back at work so hoping that doesn't send things off track either.

I ate waaay too much yesterday, but that was expected.

I spent today cleaning and tidying followed by my 30 minute workout, broke my fast about 5.30. I've only had a mini Twister since dinner and am currently baking a birthday cake, I'll snack on the off cuts later 😂

So today should be a ❤

Alarm set for work tomorrow, aiming for 15000 steps and food planned.

I stayed on track today and didn't use eating out last night as a pretext to bin off the whole weekend. Day 6 complete.

Another 💛 for me today. Could've made better dinner choice and could've gone without any snacks but was at the beach and wanted to have a treat..

Did 30ds this morning
Breakfast - protein smoothie
Lunch - McDonald's hamburger (just on its own)
Dinner - chips and chicken bites
Snacks - one stick of rock and some honeycomb pieces

Morning. I’ve ‘lost’ 4 pounds but most of that will be hormonal fluctuations and water but I’m pleased. I know it’s likely to be a pound a week at best from now on. So I’m feeling positive for days 8-14.
Last week was a good reminder that I don’t have to fuck it all off if I have a few meals where I don’t make the best choices, a few days where I don’t make 10,000 steps.

I’m a bit late, but would like to join please. I felt weirdly, strongly motivated to get my arse in gear a few days ago so already started.

Since last Thursday, my scales tell me I’ve lost 5lbs. Now I know that ain’t fat, possibly just my body having a “thank god she’s stopped eating so much macaroni cheese” moment.

Also, yesterday I ended up eating absolutely nothing (had 2 cups of coffee, a berroca & a few glasses of water). Busy day, and just as I’d cooked my dinner had an unexpected but very welcome visitor. Once they’d left, couldn’t be bothered to reheat it. Thought I’d wake up ravenous but have only wanted coffee so far. I know I need to eat though!

Update from me. Seem to have gained a bit more which I’m really annoyed about but I know why. Snacks or eating extra. So have gone back to cottage cheese. Need to give away the Camembert in the fridge!

Just weighed myself. I can't quite believe it but I am 12st 13lbs, down from 13st 2lbs last Monday! A 3lb loss!

BMI is 30.3 so I'm still in the clinically obese category and I've got a long way to go but a step in the right direction.

I have heard from others who had a lot of weight to lose that it drops off super quickly at first and then slows down so I'm not counting my chickens yet but I'm feeling good.

Well done @Beezknees. I've had a good day so far. Eaten 1200 cals so far but I will have some cornflakes later so that will rise a bit! Managed day 9 of 30DS as well. Only 1 day of that left until I move up a level. Feeling good so ❤️

I've had a few disaster days as have been off work and completely out of routine.

I was back to work this morning and weighed 12st 13.8lbs, which is below my starting weight of 13st 1.6lbs and was a surprise as I wasn't expecting to have lost anything.

B: All Bran
L: Ham sandwich and 6 cherry tomatoes
D: 2 sausages, mash and baked beans

Snacks - had nothing all day, avoided the sweets and chocolate in the kitchen at work but then went shopping with DH who was trying to find some healthier snacks that he could eat (he's type 2 diabetic and it's uncontrolled at the moment). So this evening I've had 6 cheese cubes, 4 pickled silver skin onions and an apple with peanut butter.

Also had about 5 pints of water and 5 cups of tea today. Have only done 4,200 steps though, I have a very sedentary office job!

I need to keep up with the smaller portions and try not to snack, and then start doing a 15-20 minute workout each day. Planning to get up a bit earlier tomorrow and get it done first thing. Also trying to get some earlier nights this week to see if it helps with overall energy levels.

These threads are great ! I joined a similar one a while ago. I believe half the battle is WANTING to lose weight and be healthy and it is so much nicer to do it with others online like this.
Try and stick at it , as words cannot explain how much happier and healthier you will feel.
It's still a battle for me to stay away from the junk food but so far so good.....

I had a good day today (ignoring the hunger and headaches, been a busy day and I'm on my period which doesn't help), broke my fast around 5.30 again and only had a slice of cake and some crisps for a snack today, completed my 30 min workout too. ❤
