The general feeling on social media is that the Tories will be obliterated in the upcoming GE. AIBU to not be surprised if they get voted in again?

I'll be voting Labour as I have always done.

Labour

TheDogsMother · 22/05/2024 22:23

For the first time ever I don't think I will. I confess I have voted Tory in the past but they've been a disgrace over the last 14 years, Labour , well exactly what are their policies, Lib Dem's no point.

Damnloginpopup · 22/05/2024 22:25

rsmama27 · 22/05/2024 19:33

Guess you're voting Tory then as nobody would openly admit to doing so.

Most definitely not - but secret ballot and 'who' is asking and 'why'?

brunettemic · 22/05/2024 22:29

I’ll probably vote Labour on the basis that I like our local MP, he does actually do a lot for his constituency. That’s not a reflection on the wider party, they’re all as bad as each other. Voting for anyone but Labour where I live is pointless though, they could probably sell all the children of the area to an organ trafficking gang and people would still vote for them.

You do realise we don't use our real names on here. Unless yours actually is damnloginpopup.

Good answer tbf. But that's individually...not collectively.

Unless it's a tactical vote, voting for any party beyond the big two seems a waste of vote.

I'm not keen on either option, but I can't with any good conscience vote for the Conservative party after the last fourteen years.

I also hear lots saying, 'Well, what are Labour's policies? They don't have any, blah, blah, blah."

A quick Google will tell you exactly what those policies are, and imo, they sound far better than the Conservatives' policies. Despite a dislike of Starmer, the path seems pretty clear.

It's a labour vote (or a tactical vote) to get the tories out. Surely, things can't get any worse than the shit show we currently have.

Paninaro94 · 22/05/2024 22:33

Labour.

Didn’t vote in the last election because of Corbyn and could not bring myself to vote Lib Dem. I would never, ever vote Tory.

Nanalisa60 · 22/05/2024 22:34

Not SNP , so I will see who can beat my SNP candidate, if it’s a Tory so be it.

RoobarbAndMustard · 22/05/2024 22:35

felissamy · 22/05/2024 22:08

Independent, left winger...because labour are just Tories really.

Don't let perfect be the enemy of good.

Greenleavesinthesun · 22/05/2024 22:36

Anyone but labour or conservative, both are shit!

Kendodd · 22/05/2024 22:36

Tactical
Whoever has the best chance, out of Labout, LibDem or Green, of getting the Tories out.

Yep they are 😐

Rubbish. Never voted Tory and it's still none of your business.

Lilifer · 22/05/2024 22:46

" Don't let perfect be the enemy of good"

But Labour are not any good either - the Labour Party of 2024 is unrecogniseable to me compared to the Labour Party that I grew up with in 70s and 80s

Pin0cchio · 22/05/2024 22:49

I might have to tactical vote lib dem due to where i live but am 100% behind Labour. If i think we've even a glimpse of a chance on the day i won't tactical vote

Pin0cchio · 22/05/2024 22:50

This is largely true in most areas. If you want a change, its a labour vote, if you are happy with how things are, conservative.

PointWriter · 22/05/2024 22:52

Labour.

They've got to be better for the NHS than the Tories have been.

Onemorefortheroad · 22/05/2024 22:54

SNP.

Need to get my postal vote sorted as on holiday.

GenZer · 22/05/2024 22:55

Yeah, I think we’ll have a new government. Got to remember that 5 years have passed since the last one and in that is 5 years worth of young adults who have no reason to vote Tory (housing market, cost of living crisis, I could go on). I was days away from being of age to vote in the last election but I’d have gone Labour then, and will vote Labour now. No they aren’t perfect but I can’t see how they could do much worse!

FFSWherearemyglasses · 22/05/2024 22:55

The votes from the MN jury thus far
Tories ….. Nil points
its not looking good for Roland Rat and his rat fans is it 😬🥴😂

Who are you voting for?
sunlovingcriminal · 22/05/2024 23:00

A polite request... can anyone who is thinking of not voting, take the opportunity to spoil their paper please? Preferably with a nice picture or a poem or even just a funny message. For those of us who count the votes, it makes our day... especially in the GE when we're often counting overnight. These little nuggets of joy are a real source of motivation!

tiggergoesbounce · 22/05/2024 23:00

Labour

Welcometomycircus · 22/05/2024 23:04

Labour, it's the tactical vote in my area

margotsdevil · 22/05/2024 23:16

Tactical to keep the SNP out of our constituency. Will need to work out who that is though...

Nat6999 · 22/05/2024 23:17

Labour, I've always voted that way & I'm a member of the party.
