There's a CF parked in my drive

Village fete day. Parking's a nightmare. Come back from my food shop to find some CF has parked on my drive. So I parked across my drive (dropped kerb but no double yellows or white driveway signs) to put my shopping away. Nearest proper parking is going to be a 5-10 min walk away I reckon - it's heaving! No specific AIBU but I know you lot love a parking drama.
Can I leave my car infront of the driveway and head out to the fete? It would block the car in ... but there's no note, no blue badge etc ... can I get a parking fine?
My DH thinks we should park properly and walk back in but tbh im enraged someone parked on my drive!!!

It's your drive. They have NO right to park there. You are bother being ridiculously tolerant. You are perfectly entitled to block them in.

Fortunately, the car was moved 4 days ago.

In the UK you can legally park on anyones drive as long as you arent blocking the road (car in garage or blocking access to front door ect) you can raise a civil dispute in court but for one off offences good luck. It is illegal however to block someone who is parked on your driveway in. You also can not damage their vehicle in any way.

now thats the technically legal side of it, get the tools out and paint that you clearly had planned and didnt just purchase right next to their vehicle while drinking a few pints and leave your car blocking your drive. “Lose”your keys. Get lifts everywhere for the next 6 months and so on

THE CAR HAS MOVED

It's not illegal to block someone who parked on your own drive as long as you're not causing an obstruction on the road. It's your property.

The ruddy cars gone. The none drama is over. Why does it keep getting bumped up

CF Cystic Fibrosis! Honestly that's the only CF I know. Unfortunately.

I thought I had sent this but can’t see it so here again … can you fit a telescopic post/bollard on your drive?
