To want DH to stop sending me photos of things that displease him?

So - interests of fairness he is a decent man generally but he has this one habit that really puts my nose out of joint.

Say I have done something minor but I appreciate annoying he sends me a photo on WhatsApp, like a top left off a bottle or if the cat has killed a mouse (he hates cats) or similar. He just sends a photo, no accompanying message. I absolutely hate it, I think it’s really passive aggressive and I never know how or if to respond.

AIBU if I tell him to stop it?

I’d just stick a thumbs up on each one with no comment

Me too. He wants PA communication, give it to him.

BellaTheDarkOverlord · 12/04/2024 15:05

Can you reply with a picture of his face?

MichaelFlatulence · 12/04/2024 15:06

Or a pic of a rooster

HellonHeels · 12/04/2024 15:06

I'd leave someone who hated cats so Im not the best person to answer.

I agree with the thumbs up emoji suggestion. Or send him back a random photo. Or a photo of his face.

Blobblobblob · 12/04/2024 15:07

Picture of your middle finger reply, every time

Yes he's passive aggressive

MysweetAudrina · 12/04/2024 15:07

Send him random dick pics.

I'd do this 😂

HellonHeels · 12/04/2024 15:07

X-post with @BellaTheDarkOverlord !

TheShellBeach · 12/04/2024 15:07

How horrible.

AGodawfulsmallaffair · 12/04/2024 15:07

Think I’d just send him this every time 💩
Or maybe W ⚓️

BetterLuckTomorrow · 12/04/2024 15:08

I’d start sending him photos of random objects, such as the toaster, in response every time that he did this.

Or a random fact about whatever he’s sent you a photo of “Did you know that the plastic bottle top was invented in 1924 by William Jones from Liverpool…”

I would take a photo of my hand making a thumbs up…!

WonderingWanda · 12/04/2024 15:09

Ha, what a twat. Yes, agree with all the others send something ridiculous back. I quite like the idea of just anything random you spot nearby like a shoe or a signpost something with no explanation.

NonPlayerCharacter · 12/04/2024 15:09

Actually that's even better.

I was just about to post the same.

I’d be having a serious talk with him @Notasaruleno I wouldn’t be putting up with this shit. Tell him to use his words if he needs to discuss something instead of sending stupid photos. What a twat.

MysweetAudrina · 12/04/2024 15:07

Send him random dick pics.

Yes, respond to every single one with just this and nothing else.

That really is quite unpleasant of him.

This made me roar and is definitely the correct approach.

coxesorangepippin · 12/04/2024 15:10

Is this the same fella as the cups are stacked wrong?

GettingtheElectric · 12/04/2024 15:12

Assuming he's there with the 'things that displease him', and you're somewhere else, why can't he just sort them out himself, without the PA photographs? You didn't kill the mouse, and surely putting the top back on a bottle isn't worth an 'Irritated of Tunbridge Wells' photograph?

I mean, DH has a mildly maddening habit of only loosely replacing the tops on bottles of olive or vegetable oil that he's been using for cooking, and which live next to the hob, so the next person to pick them up risks dropping them because the lid is in place but not screwed tight, but he does virtually all the cooking, and anyway, it's hardly a hanging offence.

TinyGingerCat · 12/04/2024 15:14

he is a decent man

No he is not - he is a freak

Dareisayiseethesunshine · 12/04/2024 15:16

Start calling him dad.. And tell him your sex drive just plummeted to nil...

OneTC · 12/04/2024 15:16

reallyworriedjobhunter · 12/04/2024 15:16
