To never ever buy from Snag again?

I'm just beyond disgusted and feel I need to vent.

I've always liked snag tights. I bought vouchers to save them in Lockdown, have spent hundreds with them. Liked their products and ethos- inclusive and female led.

Yesterday I went on their website, can definitely say it's my fault that I clicked on their NSFW collection, but I didn't expect what I found. Patches saying ' chke me' and 'cMSL*t'. Maybe I'm just a pearl clutching prude but I found these really offensive and not what I expect from a company with their ethos. I've put a pic below.

I posted in their Facebook group which I'm on highlighting that I thought this was a misjudgement on their part, that these were very misogynistic, and fed into a culture of violence against women which claims the life of a woman or girl every 11 minutes.

They declined my post and sent me a reply which I'll attach- I'm kink shaming apparently.

I find this really reprehensible and never want to spend a penny with them again!

I never thought I was prudish, whatever adults do between themselves is up to them, but I don't really want to buy from a clothing provider who is promoting this- aibu!?

I just want to know what you would consider NSFW??!

That's really disgusting. I just bought a load of snag tights. They won't be getting my custom again. I will email and tell them.

Stockings, suspenders etc- you know, stuff I'd expect to find from a company that primarily does tights!

YANBU. At £6 a patch it seems a pretty low-profit high-risk way to appeal to a certain group of customers - that is presumably smaller than the group who aren't on board with choking/violence fetishes/etc.

Technically the terminology is wrong. It's not choking, it's strangulation. But I guess that doesn't sound as sexy eh?! 🤷‍♀️

I'm with you OP. Their tights could be sold for a tenner and made from pure spun gold and encrusted with diamonds and I'd still not buy from this revolting company

I won't buy from them anyway after I bought something and paid next day delivery and it didn't turn up the next day. When I complained I was told I ordered it too late in the day (it wasn't particularly late). This was not made clear on the website or when I placed the order. They refused to refund the next day delivery fee.

Is "better tights" the company? I was a snag fan and always recommended them - I certainly won't be now! Sounds like they have been infiltrated by the mysogistic types - not for me then!

Is it not from their NSFW site (separate to their main site) - not excusing it but it seems to be sex clothes and BDSM accessories based rather than just on their main site alongside the tights.

I'm using Better tights instead of Snag as well. They fit better and I've just bought a Mystery Bag from them which was well worth it

With all the recent publicity about the absolute risk of strangulation by men on women, you'd think that they'd be a bit more aware of it. For example, this from the government:

By the way, if anyone is looking for good tights in a range of sizes and colours, Better Tights are great! I switched to them a while back and they're much better quality. I really hope they don't follow suit on the women-hating merch.

better tights actually don't fall down, unlike snag tights that do.

Please search before you create yet ANOTHER post about Snag that always ends up either getting zapped or just becoming really vile.

I suggest Better Tights as an alternative.
