To never ever buy from Snag again?

I'm just beyond disgusted and feel I need to vent.

I've always liked snag tights. I bought vouchers to save them in Lockdown, have spent hundreds with them. Liked their products and ethos- inclusive and female led.

Yesterday I went on their website, can definitely say it's my fault that I clicked on their NSFW collection, but I didn't expect what I found. Patches saying ' chke me' and 'cMSL*t'. Maybe I'm just a pearl clutching prude but I found these really offensive and not what I expect from a company with their ethos. I've put a pic below.

I posted in their Facebook group which I'm on highlighting that I thought this was a misjudgement on their part, that these were very misogynistic, and fed into a culture of violence against women which claims the life of a woman or girl every 11 minutes.

They declined my post and sent me a reply which I'll attach- I'm kink shaming apparently.

I find this really reprehensible and never want to spend a penny with them again!

I never thought I was prudish, whatever adults do between themselves is up to them, but I don't really want to buy from a clothing provider who is promoting this- aibu!?

Late to the party as usual, but I've just looked at both the Facebook and Instagram posts. They've restricted comments on Facebook and seem to have stopped people from commenting on Instagram. Bit suspicious, that. Assuming they got some backlash from people who don't think this is a lovely idea.

I dabbled in BDSM a bit when I was younger. There are plenty of people within that group who correctly think that strangulation is dangerous. There's no 'safe' way of doing it, and now there's plenty of medical evidence to back that up with regards to long term health implications. Unfortunately for me I was pressured into it by someone I was seeing, he took it too far and I nearly passed out. That was scary enough. I don't like it (BDSM) anymore, my experience with my ex-FWB ruined it, and my current boyfriend isn't into it either.

Why is kink shaming seen as bad anyway? We're now at the stage where people think it's okay to dress up as dogs and go round IKEA on a Saturday morning, where before that would have been confined to people's homes, clubs and private parties. Involving non consenting parties in your kink/fetish goes against the whole ethos of the BDSM community, or it should do.

And of course being against non fatal strangulation means you're a 'conformist'. I'm 35 years old and dress like a teenage Goth from the 2000s or an extra from Harry Potter. Although I wouldn't buy Snag tights anyway because I hate tights in general and wear stripy socks all the time.

I haven't bought any snags since incidentally, which may not mean much to them but it's a couple of hundred pounds that have gone elsewhere.

I posted on this thread last time it was active too, and I too havnt touched their products since. I sunk a lot of money into their advent calendar last year, which wasn't worth the money for me anyway, but I still feel stung by Snag's stance.

Thanks for reminding me that i need to replenish my stock. They are great but sadly do not last forever.

I've spent all day pulling up my pair of snag tights that keep falling down.

This is actually horrendous, there's a real link between "chocking" and abuse/deaths. I would not want to spend my money at a company that profits off this.
