To starve ds

I mean not really but ffs

Ds takes forever to eat and doesn’t generally eat more than two mouthfuls unless I feed him. I don’t mind this, I’d rather he ate, but just lately when I try to he gets upset ‘mine, I’ll do it!’ But then doesn’t.

AIBU to throw food away if he hasn’t started eating it after say ten minutes? I’m really losing patience if I’m honest.

Can you swap cereal out for yogurt or fruit for breakfast? I have 6year olds who aren’t big fans of cereal some days, one of them is not into cereal at all, but Krave cereal bars, yogurt or fruit gets eaten. She also loves to eat whole tomatoes and will sometimes only eat a tomato for breakfast (yep she’s a funny girl eating a tomato for breakfast)

Wow. Yeah let's encourage kids to wolf down food and not digest it properly because their parents will chuck it in the bin. In some cultures people sit at a table for hours. Every single person is different with food. For all we know you chew loudly and your DS might want to wait til you are finished before he eats properly?

😂😂

If a child doesn’t bother starting to eat for 10
minutes they aren’t hungry.

Forcing them to eat when they don’t want to is the thing that is going to cause issues here.
