Have you ever won anything decent?

Obvious one would be the lottery, but I'm also curious about things like 'make me a winner'/cash register or similar on the radio, BOTB/similar raffles/magic freebies etc

My mum once won pink concert tickets and £3000, both on the radio (separate giveaways years apart), I've never been lucky sadly 🤣

Purely being nosy, I also wonder what the average odds are for the radio, I've always thought it must be better than the lottery

Yes, £2000 worth of jewellery in a Christmas raffle thing.

I won a holiday on McDonald's monopoly.
It was about 15 years ago and was an instant win so didn't have to collect them.

The only thing I've ever won was a nursery school raffle, many, many years ago and it was a dolls house (donated by a person who made them), complete with furniture.

The DC were utterly thrilled and so was I.

I can’t even win an argument tbh.

I never usually win anything but last week I won £500, later the same day my washer broke!

My parents won a competition. They could choose a silver tea service or a trip to Disneyland. (I don't think EuroDisney had been built yet).

The silver is still sitting in the display cabinet.

I don’t religiously enter competitions either and the lottery was a lucky dip done on a whim.

DD once won a holiday camp talent show thing, and we got a free weekend's holiday out of it so that was good.

And I won a box of chocolates in a raffle last week - result!

I've also won supermarket/M&S vouchers up to £200 3 or 4 times, always just before Christmas.

I won tickets to see my favourite band VIP this year by liking a FB post. I won more concert tickets for another show from my bank.

I also won a skiing holiday in the early days of mumsnet by commenting on a sponsored post.

I'm generally a pretty lucky person in life and take a positive attitude, so in the 'Derron Brown' sense I'm always expecting I might win so take time to enter.

I honestly don't think I've ever won anything of note. If I do win (raffles or daft things like that) then it will inevitably always be the one thing out of the spread I can't make use of.

I won a piece of jewellery worth about £1000. It was from an online competition where you just had to leave a comment to enter, I'd forgotten all about it so it was a lovely surprise to get the email telling me I'd won.

I've just won £1000 on December's premium bonds. Very nice just before Christmas 😁

It's was only worth about £300 but a few years ago I won a trolley dash around The Entertainer toy shop for my son.
It was the biggest thrill of his life, he still talks about it now, and still has some of the toys.
