Obvious one would be the lottery, but I'm also curious about things like 'make me a winner'/cash register or similar on the radio, BOTB/similar raffles/magic freebies etc

My mum once won pink concert tickets and £3000, both on the radio (separate giveaways years apart), I've never been lucky sadly 🤣

Purely being nosy, I also wonder what the average odds are for the radio, I've always thought it must be better than the lottery

competitions is my hobby, been doing it about 20 years

all free via specific websites so its only 2-3 mouse clicks and your in

in a evening(laptops on my lap while i watch tv)i can do hundreds,
trouble is i do so many i cant remember entering them and some are 8-12 months in advance
twin that with my ADHD brain and when i do win its a surprise as i forgot entering that one
i enter so many i could never keep track

so many companies dont let you know either so i only know when it turns up, very rare its accompanied by a letter

women's magazines and any magazine that has a puzzle, wordsearch etc are all provided by users so its just copy and paste and your in
any answers needed is provided as well

i use 3 websites but there's thousand free if you just google it and have 2 email accounts so any competition is entered twice

ive won thousands over the years and i win constantly

my biggest win was 6 years ago and a all inclusive 5 star holiday for 4 to Spain

i enter it even if i don't want it, it gets sold or given away

i won a years worth of cider in feb 2020, it was 48 cans a month

My DS won a car. It was a draw in a show so pure luck. I did once win a Christmas cake, you had to guess the weight. It wasn't cooked in the middle!

Starseeking · 10/12/2023 18:31

The most I've won is £150 on Premium Bonds.

BusyCaz · 10/12/2023 18:32

Flyingwithmytoddler · 10/12/2023 18:42

20 tubes of smarties from a nickelodeon competition. I was about 8 at the time and the day they arrived in the post I was off school sick with a sickness bug. I wasn't allowed any until I'd stopped being sick!

Circularargument · 10/12/2023 18:44

LylaLee · 10/12/2023 14:05

My parents won a competition. They could choose a silver tea service or a trip to Disneyland. (I don't think EuroDisney had been built yet).

The silver is still sitting in the display cabinet.

So? Not everyone wants to go to Disney land. I certainly wouldn't.

Loafbeginsat60 · 10/12/2023 18:56

Premium bonds quite regularly

Raffles - a pool party and a beauty advent calendar

John Lewis vouchers 300 x 2 on here

Wekeend away

Edinvillian · 10/12/2023 19:18

I've won £20,000 on the lottery and £1000 in a Quidco competition I didn't even know I'd entered until the money appeared in my account.

DragonMama3 · 10/12/2023 19:24

I won £4.50 last Friday on Euromillions... although a house smaller than mine recently sold for half a million!

LylaLee · 10/12/2023 19:29

Circularargument · 10/12/2023 18:44

So? Not everyone wants to go to Disney land. I certainly wouldn't.

I would have preferred the memories rather than useless display cabinet items.

ChesterFoxE · 10/12/2023 19:31

I won Sandals holiday to Antigua on Magic 105.4fm many years ago :)

OneWildNightWithJBJ · 10/12/2023 19:35

A hairdryer. I was only about ten so it was a huge deal! Won it through Bunty comic 😂.

And premium bonds (a few £25s and a £50) plus £300 Mumsnet competition.
