Treated myself to a bottle of Prosecco last night, it turned out to be so sweet it was undrinkable. DH bought me a replacement today, clearly marked extra dry.

Its not only too sweet it has the flavour of cardboard.

Has anyone else had a similarity terrible weekend yet?

My DH forgot to get me gummy bears, though he did remember the Harvest corn candy.

I'll forgive him....in time. 🤔😲😉

I'm supposed to be camping with my Scout Group. I'm at home with covid instead and everything tastes odd....my favourite chicken curry tasted like turnips and the BBQ chicken strips I pinched from my kids tasted just like chicken with no hint of BBQ

OP, I understand. I finally opened a special bottle of bubbly we’ve had for 3 years this eve. Combo of pregnancy, a small child and covid meaning we’ve never felt like it was the right time to open it. About to start TTC this week so thought now’s the time. Turns out, I don’t like the taste and it gave me an immediate headache upon 3 sips. What a let down.

Oh no! It really sucks when you look SO forward to something you've kept for a special occasion and then it ends up being a disappointment in some way.

I came back from Turkey poorly..been in bed scince Thursday.
I have Fibromyalgia flare and interstitial cystitis so can't even sit down because my foo is so sore. 😶
I blame Turkey..most horrible place I've ever been 😶( and I'm well travelled.. one of those countries we kept saying we must try)..
We had plans this weekend.. but hey ho that's life.
Just had Chinese take away brought..so not all bad.
Just wish my friend had got some cannabis to bring me for my pain.
Sorry about your prosecco.. ( l don't drink so wouldn't know one bottle from another) but I'm especially sorry to the lady who's favourite curry place is shut.

Oh wow! It sounds like you are having a time of it! I have fibro and a SIL with IC. Both suck big time. What was going on with Turkey?

I'm also anaemic and I've been off the meds for it for a week ready for tomorrow and I'm knackered but can't sleep yet. Sorry about your crap prosecco, ironically before I went teatotal I preferred dry wines etc

Okay, you win for suckiest weekend! Not only the prep but the procedure. I hope it comes back with zero issues.

I can't drink the prep for a colonoscopy but have to have them every three years now. Thank God for the pills they have now for people like me.

Just done my online shopping order and my favourite ice cream isn’t available. Not great as I’ve been so good losing weight and this ice cream is my little treat after dinner. Oh--I SO sympathize! I am addicted to Breyer's Dulce de Leche ice cream and it's become impossible to find.

This is how they get you addicted. Make it available for a while and then poof take it away, so you're jonesing for caramel ice cream for months until they offer it again and then take it away...rinse and repeat.

Also, it has come to my attention that I am obviously lost in the netherworlds as I have never had a curry dish. Never had Indian cuisine. I feel a bit lost....🍛

I could drive to the supermarket but hate going to the big one where they have it, plus I’m not sure the big Tesco stocks it now, my shopping comes from some hub. I will have to see if it’s available next week, if it is I’ll be pleased but I’m seeing it disappear from all the local stockists which isn’t good. Can order online at least, but works out expensive as I have to buy a fair amount for delivery then I eat it faster! It’s £5 a tub, so I have to ration it. Plus I’m dieting so that would be a disaster. Plenty of other ice cream I like, but not low cal one.

Oh you’re missing out re the curry. I don’t have one very often but it’s so tasty. I am good at cooking Indian food though as my ex is Indian and his SIL taught me some really nice recipes. I really fancy making biriyani and butter chicken curry now!

I am not only gutted about my ice cream but now that I have been told I am missing out by not trying some really good curry, I am deprived. Oh is that depraved? One of them....😉

I'll swap your sweet prosecco for the vile moviprep I'm trying to drink. It's like salt water and I'm struggling not to vomit it back up. Looking forward to spending the next 6 hours shitting water .

I’m hopeful that they’ll be open again but that’s purely based on my optimism!

Our son is 1 tomorrow! His dad and I feel like absolute crap though and he doesn’t seem right in himself either so think we may have to cancel our day out plans and just laze about at home 😔

I know he won’t know but it’s a tradition to visit the place we’re planning for 1st birthdays in our family. May have to delay til next weekend.

Alone for the weekend but had some nice plans. Disappointingly, train strike on Saturday, so I moved my plans to Sunday, only to find its a rail replacement service today. A bit rubbish.

My favourite Chinese restaurant has closed down, despite their website saying ‘There’s been rumours we’re closing down - don’t worry we’re not!’ 😮 I hardly ever have a takeaway but it was so nice that I was prepared to drive a bit of a way for this one and fancied one last night. It was always packed too, so not sure what’s happened. It’s going to be an Italian specialising in Pizza and, unfortunately unlike Chinese restaurants, we’ve got loads of Italians round here. Only found out cos the new owners were outside giving away all the old blue and white crockery for free 😮☹️
