Is DS's new GF a CF or AIBU?

Adult DS 25 still lives at home. DH and I go away every weekend in our caravan and so his newish GF 26 and also still lives at home (who I have yet to meet in person) comes and stays with him which I'm absolutely fine with she lives 3hr drive away. The last 2 weeks we've come home and she's left used panty liners both in the bathroom bin and in DS's wastepaper bin in bedroom.
I don't know how to broach it with him. He will take it that I don't like her without meeting her etc. It's not like she's a young kid at 26, personally I would either empty both bins before I left or pop them in my wash bag to take home with me. I left the caddy bags out as a hint this weekend. I would be mortified to think someone else would see something so intimate and for context they're not wrapped back up in their packet either.
Opinions?

Oh god now i feel weird, just stayed at my BF's for a week while his mum was on holiday looking after her dogs, and i left 2 in her bathroom bin, but rolled up wrapped in loo roll. I hope i haven't made her feel the way your sons GF has made you feel :/ If i have i hope the flowers i left before leaving make up for it!

Fuckthatguy · 21/08/2023 18:49

@WiddlinDiddlin not sure OP has ever had to tell her DS what to do with his used panty liners…

GabriellaMontez · 21/08/2023 19:03

Unwrapped? Disgusting and just unnecessary.

KajsaKavat · 21/08/2023 19:04

They belong in the bin, it’s not like she just left them on the floor… what an odd AIBU, yea you are

Perfectly acceptable. It's the unwrapped, 'sunny side up' ones that most normal people object to.

Fuckthatguy · 21/08/2023 20:01

@DoraSpenlow sunny side up. Stop. 😂😭

Dullardmullard · 21/08/2023 20:29

DoraSpenlow · 21/08/2023 17:46

No I'm not. Normal vaginal secretions can smell after a while, hence the market for fragrances pant liners.

If they smell there is something wrong with the PH balance and needs a visit to the docs

normal vaginal secretions shouldn’t smell ever plus scented pant liners fuck no that would upset the PH balance and cos you to itch and smell. Scented anything down there is a no no.

Hang on. You never spend a weekend at home? What about in the winter?

Tell DS to empty the bins. It can become one of his jobs. With the run of the place as a weekend shag pad and you cleaning up after him he will literally never move out.

I am so glad someone else asked this. Is this a thing? Surely not year-round?

AccountDeleted · 21/08/2023 20:56

Well yes the belong in the bin but I think it would be polite to empty the bin before you arrived home. I know my daughter would just tell her bf to empty it before his Mum saw them as its the same as seeing someone else's poo skid in the toilet. The poo is in the right place but no one wants to see the evidence.

Whathappenedtomyvag · 21/08/2023 20:58

OP I think you need to take a step back on this one. I don't want to be mean because, jeez everyone has been nasty on mumsnet today, but you are definitely BU.

I would hate my sons' girlfriends feeling they had to carry sanitary products home with them. It's really easy to have lidded bins with liners, and don't rummage. Son should empty his own bin.. I never see or touch what is in the bathroom bin, but I know it's a mix of wipes, waxy ear buds, quite possibly booger tissues, who knows what else bleurghhh..... why would you NOT set that bin up to be minimal visuals ans minimum touching - for everyone's benefit?

Lord, is she having to take used condoms home as well?

This weirdness over the contents of the bin is very likely to be part of the reason you haven't been introduced yet.

@Naunet

its not shaming a woman’s biology to not want to see her discharge , ffs

Exactly.
I don’t want to see someone’s poo, snot, semen, urine… you get the gist… either. It’s not shaming someone, it’s just basic hygiene.

It’s in a lidded bin and only seen when lid removed for removal of rubbish with other things in it.

the other bin op shouldn’t of been in the room to see it as he’s a man not a child and should be emptying his own bins

get it

GoingInsaneAhhh · 21/08/2023 22:06

well looking on the bright side, at least shes not pregnant!

weirdoboelady · 21/08/2023 22:43

So you expect GF to wrap used liners up before throwing them away (thereby contributing to planet pollution, but we have already established on this thread that you are unreasonable)....

but don't provide any bags near the bin to be used for this purpose, even after the first visit where it became clear that she uses panty liners?

YABVVU. And FFS stop being such a wimp and learn to deal with the concept that other women have vaginal secretions and discharges. (Some of which may even be .... well, you know that after sex not involving a condom, fluids choose the most inconvenient moment to...ahem...descend, I hope.)

You have a son. What are your views on crispy tissues?

Caroparo52 · 21/08/2023 23:03

I'm with you.
Remove the bin from the bathroom.

Onelifeonly · 21/08/2023 23:17

Fuckthatguy · 21/08/2023 16:35

@Onelifeonly your DDs, because you’ve taught them to do so in their home, are considerate in other peoples homes. Maybe not, but I’ll hazard a guess they just may well be, even if they are not so inclined at home. Usually the case 😀

I expect you're right! Dd1 even washes up for her bf's mum. Not sure she knows where the sink is in our house!!!

Guiltridden12345 · 21/08/2023 23:29

RudsyFarmer · 21/08/2023 11:35

I’d rbi k a bin was there to be used, so would use it. It’s not like she’s sticking it to your dressing table mirror.

This made me laugh out loud, bang on!

brentwoods · 22/08/2023 00:44

Fuckthatguy · 21/08/2023 18:45

@brentwoods well, arguable as she’s not taking advantage as she is enjoying the comfort of OPs, and her BFs house at every opportunity OP is not around.

Except that's not what the OP is upset about. If she had posted that the girlfriend only came when they were out of town as if she were avoiding them and using them as a cheap hotel, then YES, the girlfriend would be a CF and I would agree with her.

Fuckthatguy · 22/08/2023 11:00

@brentwoods I didn’t raise the point did I though, it was of course another PP.

This will most likely be OPs next post.

KarmaStar · 22/08/2023 13:41

Yanbu she should put them in a disposable bag then put in the bin.

Samlewis96 · 22/08/2023 14:09

crazeekat · 21/08/2023 13:25

what does having a vulva have to do with leaving a dirty period pad for someone else to remove?

Its a pantyliner though not a period pad. Tad different

Samlewis96 · 22/08/2023 14:15

LyndaSnellsSniff · 21/08/2023 15:36

I would wrap them, but it's hardly a crime.

2 weekends running you say? So the poor woman suffers from periods that last 9 + days? I think I'd be offering some sympathy to her.

It's not sanitary towel for periods it's panty liners
