But, if you do, at least own it. The video of her belittling “the cake lady” really shows what a tramp she actually is.

She probably ignored advice from her PR company. The first thing you learn in PR is if you’re in the wrong, own up. Apologise. Offer to make it right.

Totally agree - the influencer ‘industry’ seems it would benefit from some stringent regulation to eliminate this culture of exploiting small firms.

All "influencers" are grifters and all giving them something does is make all their other wannabe grifter pals get the same. It doesn't ever translate to sales or money.

DH and I run a small business, and we're plagued by local charities and schools (especially private expensive ones) asking for donations. I will have the confidence to reply more honestly from now onwards.

Didn’t know who CT was, sounds like she may have been known years ago. She has utterly embarrassed herself and shown how spiteful she is. Also, in the clip she couldn’t stop touching her nose. Was she known to do drugs before? Just looked like she had done some.

I think CT comes across as completely crass and devoid of class.

I’ve been wondering if she’s struggling to afford a ‘celeb’ lifestyle when she apparently hasn’t had a decent acting job for some time. It doesn’t excuse expecting other people to fund it.

I’ve never liked the saying “you don’t ask, you don’t get” because some things should not be asked as they are so cheeky - and this is one of them.

I don't know why anybody ever follows these pathetic scroungers or buys anything they 'endorse' - it's all meaningless to those of us with any intelligence. Same as those annoying Amazon reviews ' Vine review of free product' with the fake gushing twaddle about how marvellous xxx product is. Clearly they all say good things so as to keep on getting free stuff. I completely disregard all paid for reviews, otherwise known as advertising.

I know the girl who does her makeup...all for free for the 'exposure', even for the BAFTAs. CT doesn't even pay her expenses for travelling to Manchester or London from York. Seems to be the norm with these Z-listers. No idea why the MUA does it (apart from it seems to attract more 'celebs' wanting free makeup).

I own a balloon business and I can’t tell you the amount of times we’ve been contacted by the “PR” company of someone famous asking for free balloon displays. Usually they are after displays in excess of £500 in exchange for ‘exposure’ on social media.
It drives me mad!!!

They literally google party shops/bakers/photographers etc near to the event & send every one they can the exact same email & hope for a response. I’m in touch with three or four ladies who own similar businesses to me & all were contacted to install balloons in a big well known shop for a celebs clothing launch for free!! Like the PR company are being paid, the store is being paid, the ‘designer/famous person’ is being paid but the ones who make it all look pretty - provide the balloons / cakes etc have to work for free!!!

And as for the celebs, they may not specifically ask for the items for free but I’m sure it is explained to them how using these PR companies works. I work with event planning companies, they don’t ask for things for free but PR companies seem to think it’s acceptable for some reason.

I have no doubt both CT pr team (if she has one) and the events company have been trying to find something negative towards the bakery but the support is thankfully overwhelming

I always think the same with The Apprentice, when the people running shops and businesses are beaten right down to the bone on their prices by the contestants - just so that they can end up with more profit than the other team.

Is it actually a good thing to be seen on national TV, clearly willing to drop your prices to a crazy low level, if people twist your arm (and say "Well, I saw that you did it for them!") ?

Katie price was begging for cake too a few days ago. After a themed cake with 3 days notice posted on her IG, which fits with one of her kids birthdays.
Didn't say she wanted it for free, but the implication is there.
Don't know many bakers who can drop everything and fit a cake in at a couple days notice. And if it is for her child as assumed, you know when their birthdays are surely, same day as last year and how ever many years before, why leave it to the last minute to ask?
