I think the BBC will be showing every match from Monday. Or at least every England match.

I don't get it. You made me double check that's what it's called. It is the netball world cup, in South Africa. I'm trying to find the joke...

Nobody? I'm surprised, it's brilliant to watch.

Is that a joke? I’ll watch it just after I watch the lacrosse and tiddlywinks world champs…

DeepfriedPizza · 31/07/2023 17:26

We've been following it but only watched whatever game on sky sports YouTube as don't have sky. Hopefully we'll watch more once on the BBC.

FrodisCapering · 31/07/2023 17:34

I am! I love netball.
I am really hoping my little girl will love it too. She's only 3 so we'll have to see!

BlueAndGreen89 · 31/07/2023 17:35

Been watching it on YouTube as we don’t have Sky Sports - looking forward to getting it on the BBC this week!

JayAlfredPrufrock · 31/07/2023 17:37

I went to a few games at the commonwealth games. It was brilliant to watch live, brilliant atmosphere.

Should be an Olympic sport

@JayAlfredPrufrock a school in the north west by any chance? My children are going there if so. I am gutted she won't be teaching them netball!

mightyducks · 31/07/2023 18:20

Yes me - feels like it hasn’t had much coverage in the media this time - probably due to the women’s football World Cup on at the same time and also England not being serious contenders this time

toastofthetown · 31/07/2023 18:22

I’ve been watching some of the qualifiers. I went to see some of the netball at the Commonwealth Games last year and loved it. It’s such a great sport. I wish it got the coverage that the women’s football does.

JayAlfredPrufrock · 31/07/2023 19:15

@FrodisCapering Indeed

Drywhitefruitycidergin · 31/07/2023 19:21

Following it but haven't actually managed to watch yet (cricket/lionesses/work) Dd1 plays, we had a great day at the Commonwealth Games watching it.
I remarked last night at them playing back to back to back compared to the other sports.

massistar · 01/08/2023 15:36

I'm watching!! My favourite sport. Still playing at 50 and my DD plays too.

This Scotland v Tonga one is big for both teams. Come on Scotland!

Caroparo52 · 01/08/2023 15:55

Loved the netball at Commonwealth Games.
How can you watch this current tournament?

GrouchyKiwi · 01/08/2023 16:00

I am! I love watching netball.

Can't cope with the pronunciation of "Tonga" though! It's not a hard G.

GrouchyKiwi · 01/08/2023 16:01

You can watch games live on the BBC website, Caraparo. There should be some on the TV later in the tournament.

LaurieFairyCake · 01/08/2023 16:09

I didn't know netball was a sport until last year

Thought it was just a game made up for schools Grin
