I am, thanks to dh getting now TV for the cricket!

I think the BBC will be showing every match from Monday. Or at least every England match.

Anyone else watching?

Both GAs are being brilliant. It's a great watch.

I’m a big sports fan, I went to Wimbledon & two Ashes tests and I will be glued to the Lionesses on Monday morning, but I don’t really get netball, I’m afraid.

Watching England v New Zealand now, the passing & movement is pretty slick at times, and the defences are obviously well drilled, but then when the shooter gets the ball the game just stops and everyone stands around watching her take her shot. It’s daft. In fairness, I’m not a fan of basketball either, despite the amazing athleticism of some of the players.

So tense. I think Pitman needs to come on.

Drywhitefruitycidergin · 05/08/2023 11:29

This is so tight....

Agree. Feel like we need to make space. And Pitman is so good at making it.

I think England has it now.

GrouchyKiwi · 05/08/2023 11:34

Well done, England. What a brilliant competition you've had. Well deserved.

Ferns did well, but lost concentration at the wrong time.

Loved that match.

I won't believe it till that final whistle goes!

Brilliant game!! Bring on the final!!

GrouchyKiwi · 05/08/2023 11:35

Wish they hadn't talked over the circle at the end.

JuneOsborne · 05/08/2023 11:35

Sensational.

Aus v Jamaica should also be a great match this afternoon. I'll be much more relaxed for that one!

Hoping for a Jamaica win; would be brilliant to be sure of a new winner.

Drywhitefruitycidergin · 05/08/2023 11:55

Such a good game. I'm out this pm so won't see Jam vs Aus but roll on 5pm tomorrow

Completely agree. I'll be much more relaxed too!

And yes to seeing an England v Jamaica final, not only because it'll be a guaranteed new winner but also because both teams have been on fire!

8 matches of that intensity across 10 days is hardcore.

Panicmode1 · 05/08/2023 12:12

That was an immense game - i managed to get the gite's wifi to hold up!

Am feeling SO emotional about the Roses being in the final - it's been such a long time coming with such close misses in the past....roll on tomorrow! (And yes, I'd love a JAM v ENG match....)

massistar · 05/08/2023 12:49

What a game. So chuffed for the Roses.

JuneOsborne · 05/08/2023 14:58

Everyone ready for this match? I think it's going to be a corker. And let's see what we'll be up against!

Should be a fabulous match. Jamaica is so strong this year.

Sterling is incredible, as is Fowler.

GrouchyKiwi · 05/08/2023 15:10

Steph Wood was the stand-out performer for Australia v England, IMO.

GrouchyKiwi · 05/08/2023 15:11

Oh, that little sweetheart with the ball.

She's so hard to defend against.

JuneOsborne · 05/08/2023 15:43

Shamera Stirling!

I think Jamaica can do this!
