I am, thanks to dh getting now TV for the cricket!

I think the BBC will be showing every match from Monday. Or at least every England match.

Anyone else watching?

What a match 👏👏👏

unicornjewels · 03/08/2023 09:38

What a game!!

We've been watching as my DH is from a country that are pretty good at netball and not much else sport wise so he grew up with a love of netball. All 3 of our kids love it too, my DH finds it really frustrating that we don't seem to start playing here until about 9 or 10, whereas they play as soon as they can walk in his home country, with an adjustable height net obviously!

GrouchyKiwi · 03/08/2023 10:15

The live feeds aren't working. Sad I want to watch NZ v Jamaica.

GrouchyKiwi · 03/08/2023 10:27

Feed finally working. Jamaica off to a very strong start. Lots for NZ to do.

GrouchyKiwi · 03/08/2023 11:39

Jamaica is looking very good this year. I'd love if they got to the final.

JayAlfredPrufrock · 03/08/2023 11:48

I thought it will be England v Jamaica in the final.

My DD started playing at 5.

ManateeFair · 03/08/2023 12:12

Glad people are enjoying it, but it's not for me. I really hated having to play netball instead of football when I was at school (ditto rounders, which I also hated) and I just don't find it enjoyable to watch.

Also in the 'not for me, thanks' category of sports are rugby union, cricket, F1 and golf. But I'd happily be glued to football, tennis, cycling, and track and field.

massistar · 03/08/2023 12:37

Shame that so many people were put off by netball at school. The sport is so different now. Feisty, fast and athletic. Each to their own though. I'd rather watch paint dry than watch any game of football !

JuneOsborne · 05/08/2023 10:17

Semi final, shaky start, they're making me nervous!

Mentor and Jury are both immense today. It's a great match up.

I won't be too upset if NZ loses; we've had a tough year, and losing Grace Nweke has made things extra difficult for us.

GrouchyKiwi · 05/08/2023 10:31

Whoops, that makes it look like I think Mentor & Jury are in the circle together. I mean a great match up between the two teams.

GrouchyKiwi · 05/08/2023 10:35

Silver Ferns are making some bad mistakes with passes. Good pressure from England.

JuneOsborne · 05/08/2023 10:49

The score line says it all, nobody's scoring! Our shooting doesn't seem to be working as well as if has done.

Amelieranne looks so nervous, bless her.

Massive quarter. Come on, Ferns!

Hedjwitch · 05/08/2023 11:20

God no. Hated playing it at school, hate watching it. Really boring. We had to campaign for the girls to be allowed to play basketball at school and enjoyed that much more.
