Oddly enough, the US actually has mechanisms that prevent Presidents being given access to absolutely everything. It can be useful because it gives them legitimate deniability, and protects them from potential fall out.

CIA black projects are commonly funded from off the book slush funds, and how the money is spent is left entirely to the discretion of the directors of these projects. The President doesn't need to know, and won't ever find out, because he never knows about the existence of specific projects in the first place. You can't demand transparency on a project that you are totally unaware exists.

Exactly, it's the perfect cover up.

I am so behind on absolutely everything at the moment 😩 does anyone have a podcast recommendation, for this topic generally or the recent updates, so I can try to listen before I fall asleep?

MistressoftheDarkSide · 26/07/2023 21:02

Pendle in Lancashire is also supposed to be a hotspot.

For years people have been told that they’re essentially nuts when reporting these things. Now apparently UFOs have always been a recognised thing…..

I find it interesting that sightings started to seriously escalate after we achieved nuclear status. Lots of reports around the desert test sites. Allegedly of course.

A healthy dose of scepticism is required, and that should be extended to analysing why these things have been elevated to congress level and public hearings, and why now?

I mean, it can’t possibly be a case of needing to fill up some time on the docket….

Basically humans are not alone.

BlossomWood · 26/07/2023 21:03

I found it interesting and there were some good questions asked.

So what happens now though? They go into a SKIFF, get the answers we aren't privy to, then what?

MysteriesOfTheOrganism · 26/07/2023 21:03

I think it's the same as with paranormal phenomena. A lot of the reports can be discounted - there are plausible explanations. But there's a core of strangeness that seems to be inexplicable. I'm content to leave them as unexplained mysteries until such time as there's conclusive evidence as to what they truly are.

GasPanic · 26/07/2023 21:03

They're here, aren't they ?

I think the bottom line is, humans are unlikely to know about x civilisations until I presume we reach certain mile stones of advancement.

That's my guess.

It's weird isn't it? A public congressional hearing where people of apparently excellent reputation are making these claims about aircraft performing impossible manoeuvres, crashes, non-human remains being taken away to top secret programmes...

And then the public are just left hanging? I mean, why have it in public?

That's the thing with it all, could the psychological of humanity accept it all.

Certainly a puzzlement.

We're brainwashed from a very young age to believe that god exists and that ET's do not

There's trillions of other planets out there

How anybody can seriously think that the little planet we live on is the only one with life out of trillions of others is beyond me

Roswell was not a balloon

When you've got retired high ranking military officials, astronauts and people that have been in the USAF for twenty years telling you these things exist you should listen

Why would somebody go to the effort of going to congress if what he's saying isn't true?

He's testifying under oath. If proved to be lying he could go to jail

But to say God doesn't exist is an opinion. I believe in God and I also believe we aren't the only life form.

It's the first stage in a process.

This is the US military saying it's not their military.

Precisely. So they've potentially been outsmarted, and they don't know who by? Or they do know who by and they don't want to say...? It's concerning. But not in a little green men way.

Actual aliens don't worry me at all 👽 they'd probably do themselves and us all a favour if they wiped us out.

Maybe we're failing at mission life and it's time to reset the matrix...

I've only just started watching the hearing so won't finish until tomorrow.

I’ve read about all sorts of entanglements with spirituality, and everything being frequency, which also ties in with quantum physics. It’s all very interesting, and an amazing rabbit hole to lose yourself in.

This ties in with Stephen Greer’s take on UFOs and aliens (he’s got some press conferences on YouTube about the recent hearings that are worth watching if you’re interested).

That's the thing it's either discussing what's already published, or spin some creative writing aspects.

Either way I'm doubtful humanity at the moment could understand we are not the only creations that have been created or evolved. Especially if the galaxies are teaming with civilisations.

We've just had a bit of fundamental honesty for once.

They US State, with all it's power and faculties, can not offer precise explanations for a lot of these phenomenon. This is exactly why they have always refused to acknowledge the fact they accept them as credible in the past. It posed enormous difficulties for those charged with maintaining national security

"What are these things in out aerospace, over our sovereign territory, that display technological capabilities far in advance of anything we know?"

"Err sorry, we have no idea. Probably best for all involved we just refuse to acknowledge it publicly".

All that has happened now is that they are finally putting their hands up and admitting 'sorry public, yup, these things happen, and we're as puzzled by it as you are. If you want explanations, sorry, but we don't have any".

MistressoftheDarkSide · 26/07/2023 21:11

It’s certainly possible, the milestone thing. It would make sense to monitor the galaxy next door if it could pose a threat and a species had the technology to do so.

One of my theories is that aliens could be our future selves after mastering time travel. Maybe it is a dimensional thing. Like the film Interstellar, roughly speaking.

Or maybe egregores are a real thing and enough people have put thought and energy into their fantasies that they have become real.

I mean, it could be any number of improbable things, and maybe we’ll never get the answer.

Either way it’s all intriguing.

SaltyCrisps · 26/07/2023 21:11

I don't doubt that there's something there. I'm always baffled by those who blindly deny the possibility. As others have said, the climate on this subject has changed a lot over the last couple of years.

stbrandonsboat · 26/07/2023 21:12

So, apparently these aliens travel millions of light years across space and come to visit us and go to....Preston and Blackpool 😂😂😂

No wonder they haven't revealed themselves to us.

Greer, related to the disclosure project?
From my research days.

There was an episode of star Trek voyager where certain civilisation could be slightly out of phase that made them invisible to humans.

SaltyCrisps · 26/07/2023 21:12

Also, and I realise this also comes across as though I’m a conspiracist, but this sudden change of approach then has me worried at what is actually really going on that they need to be honest now…

Me too.
