Can somebody explain what's happening with aliens and America please ??

cardibach · 26/07/2023 19:44

This is interesting. What would your explanation be? (I’m if the opinion it’s more likely than not that there is other life, but interstellar travel is more bother than it’s worth so people aren’t seeing UFOs

Aliens???

I’m another that has always believed (don’t openly say to this to others besides my family - who have always thought it was a little crazy)

The last couple of years a number of ‘disclosures’ have been made, also they’ve cleverly changed the term to UAP’s (unexplained Ariel Phenomenon) it feels like it all building up to something in my opinion.

Also, and I realise this also comes across as though I’m a conspiracist, but this sudden change of approach then has me worried at what is actually really going on that they need to be honest now…

Now you’re scaring me! 🤯

noblegiraffe · 26/07/2023 19:47

I cannot fathom why Congress is having this hearing if it's all bollocks, and if it's all true, why would the people in charge who know whether it's true allow this to go ahead?

thelinkisdead · 26/07/2023 19:48

WhineWhineWhineWINE · 26/07/2023 18:58

Incidentally I am absolutely 100% sure that there is life elsewhere in the universe. I am also 100% sure it has never been anywhere near us.

This is bollocks though isn’t it. If you were 100% sure, it wouldn’t be a huge debate with an actual paradox named after it.

ScullysMate · 26/07/2023 19:49

I keep hearing project bluebeam and new world order. But kind of want it to actually be aliens.

noblegiraffe · 26/07/2023 19:49

Here's the guy saying that the US government has crashed craft and the alien bodies that came with them. https://twitter.com/lifeandfortune/status/1684265076704804876?s=61&t=U9XrcF693-JpMxeIueYG7g

CatchItDerry · 26/07/2023 19:50

@cardibach I've seen this before, and I’m not sure how reliable it is.

Different cultures have different views on UFOs and aliens. Russia is apparently more open minded and accepting that there is life beyond earth, but are unlikely to be open with any information (alien or otherwise) to other countries. It’s very possible that what we hear is very Western-centric, and that other countries don’t report in the same way we do.
There have been many events outside of English speaking countries, some of the most plausible and interesting encounters have been in Africa and South America.

If I’m understanding correctly (and I might not be as I’m wrangling many time consuming tasks right now), the US government isn’t necessarily holding this all secret, but there are some big companies who are invested in all this who are keeping the secrets.
According to theorists the US government were highly involved in this, but in the Reagan era control transferred to aeronautical companies. (I think this is the jist of it!)
A couple of years ago someone managed to make a FOI request via government which led to videos of tictac UFOs (too fast and easily manoeuvred to be man made with any known technology), and has resulted in a steady drip feed of more information coming out, which has helped many more speak out publicly, rather than being limited to conspiracy platforms where they’re easily mocked.

Again though, there are different takes on what’s going on and where this goes. Whilst I do believe in aliens, I can well believe that this is a whole load of disinformation designed to create fear - covering up atrocities, keeping people scared and compliant.

Sugarplumfury · 26/07/2023 20:00

I always hoped there’d be proof of intelligent alien life in my lifetime. Im hoping this report provides it but I’m not holding my breath.

Apparently Mussolini found a crashed aircraft with something not human 100 years ago and it was covered up

"Sir, this body is so mangled it doesn't look human"
"Take off your coat Giuseppe and cover it up"

It’s like that Netflix film Don’t Look Up.
There’s lots of information out there.
Past presidents have all but admitted were not alone.
People are still largely ignoring it.

MistressoftheDarkSide · 26/07/2023 20:03

Fascinating…..

And to echo other posters, what are they distracting us from?

I’m open minded about it all as both my Dad and Nana told me they had seen UFOs and neither were particularly fanciful people. And I’ve had a fair few weird experiences that no amount of logic could thoroughly explain.

also fascinated by the concepts of Jungian psychology and the collective subconscious. And synchromysticism - the study of life sometimes reflecting art through foreshadowing.

If you really want to look into something intriguing check out a 1994 card game called Illuminati - New World Order for examples. The creator was inspired by Robert Anton Wilson and the like, and it was intended as a joke but it can be regarded as a bit of a bingo card exercise for the last 30 years or so.

I’m interested in all aspects of “woo” and human psychology, and the technological means we now have to screw with perception does give a scary license to those with the resources to bend the rest of us to their will.

Strange and interesting times indeed…..

Que sera sera and all that I suppose….

It is all over the news.

BBC, The Guardian, The Independent, Mirror, Daily Mail, Express, Metro....I could go on.
They have either ran Live coverage or have news reports.

mywifeandkids · 26/07/2023 20:07

Dh just told me about a documentary he watched not long ago 'accidental truth'

Needhelp101 · 26/07/2023 20:08

I am absolutely certain that the Pentagon already confirmed the existence of UFOs, in 2020. But of course, everyone was losing their minds over Covid and basically the whole world sort of went "meh".

My memory isn't what it is though.

Have I been flashed with a neuraliser? 😱

WhineWhineWhineWINE · 26/07/2023 20:09

@thelinkisdead Just my opinion, you can think it's bollocks if you like. That's your opinion 😉

wutheringkites · 26/07/2023 20:12

@CatchItDerry

Which former presidents have hinted that the US has UFOs?

Yep, I remember thinking great, covid and now we have aliens

XDownwiththissortofthingX · 26/07/2023 20:17

Lots of people have missed that the standard line on UFOs and aliens has changed over the last couple of years. Even past presidents have admitted that there are UFOs now

Nobody has ever doubted or denied the existence of UFO's.

Unidentified Flying Object

It's a descriptor which is applied to any object witnessed in the sky that is not immediately identifiable, whether it's a weather event, a man-made vehicle, or a wheelie-bin caught in a heavy wind.

If ET's do exist, and it is by no means a necessity that they must, then it's highly improbable they are visiting Earth, because first of all they'd have to recognise Earth amongst billions of planets in an infinite universe as somewhere worth bothering to visit in the first place, but not only that, they'd have to learn how to travel inter-dimensionally because the distances are so vast that it just isn't feasible for any being with a finite lifespan and machinery that could conceivably fail them before they got further than their own back yard.

Obama and Clinton in talk shows they were appearing in.
Quite understated, but a big change from the usual jokes that usually result from questions about UFOs.
I’ll see if I can find them.

No it isn't.

The fact so many people are totally misinterpreting what it means doesn't make it 'earth shatteringly important'

It's completely mundane.
