As in the US gov deliberately misled them

ssd · 26/07/2023 19:02

Apparently Mussolini found a crashed aircraft with something not human 100 years ago and it was covered up

I'd be less worried about aliens and more worried about what they're trying to distract us from/convince us to do.

CatchItDerry · 26/07/2023 19:03

Loads of stories like that @ssd .

I’m trying so hard to hold in my inner conspiracy theorist. I love this stuff so much and could talk about it for days!

Incidentally I am absolutely 100% sure that there is life elsewhere in the universe. I am also 100% sure it has never been anywhere near us.

This is where I am too. I want to believe... but can't.

AnneElliott23 · 26/07/2023 19:07

What's going on really with this sudden change of tack....are we being softened up for the day when our amazing leaders (cough) all fly away to Alpha Centaurus with the greys, leaving us less important lot to stay and scratch out a living on a burnt out planet??? (Meanwhile, in episode 5:31 of the Twilight Zone, our so called leaders discover just what it really means to be asked to dinner by a Grey....)

Seriously, unless they were lost or being punished, or had a serious God complex, why would intelligent alien life forms land on earth, much less stay here?

So just what are our cousins across the water really up to and what are they really trying to hide or distract from?

GrannyAchingsShepherdsHut · 26/07/2023 19:08

I think it's far more likely that there is life on other planets, than that there isn't.

Why they would go to all the effort needed to repeatedly come here to whiz about a bit and occasionally crash, I've no idea.

Resources? (Water, oil, people to eat xD)

Or study of life on other planets. Maybe they're explorers. Or tourists.

ssd · 26/07/2023 19:18

Ha, like Alien 18-30. Maybe that’s why they keep crashing, they’re pissed youngsters on holiday 🍹 👽

MySugarBabyLove · 26/07/2023 19:22

Seriously, unless they were lost or being punished, or had a serious God complex, why would intelligent alien life forms land on earth, much less stay here? well, you could ask yourself the same question wrt why we wanted to land on the moon, or are planning to travel to Mars. And invariably the answer is, because we can.

Another life form may well not even have known there was life here until they landed.

It’s completely naive to think that ours is the only planet with inteligent life.

I feel like sky rocketing my anxiety

CatchItDerry · 26/07/2023 19:24

If they were a threat to us we’d already be gone, or we’d be slaves to our alien overlords.

I think there are people who would benefit from us thinking aliens were a threat.

There are a lot of knowledgeable people who have very different views, backed up with consistent and persistent evidence (if you can call it that?) from many retired officials, many of whom have died in mysterious circumstances.

Naunet · 26/07/2023 19:32

Pinkbonbon · 26/07/2023 18:52

I don't see why not. We'd be mad to think our planet was the only one with life even from a religious perspective- who's to say God didn't go on to make more planets with living beings.

It's not really a good thing for them to come here though. They'd have to be more technologically advanced than us. So unless they have rules against plundering or domination of other planets...we'd be in big trouble.

Thats very human thinking. We assume a an alien race would do that because it’s what we’d do, but they could be far more enlightened than us and are simply interested in learning for example. I mean if they really have been visiting us, they could have wiped us all out by now if they wanted to.

CalistoNoSolo · 26/07/2023 19:35

I do believe that the universe is full of life, even on earth we can see how life can survive under the most extreme circumstances. But why an intelligent and extremely advanced lifeform would come to a back water like our tiny bit of the galaxy is something that doesn't have an easy answer. Any interstellar travel is going to take enormous quantities of energy, not to mention be very risky, and take a huge amount of time (unless travel through wormholes is indeed a thing) so why come to our solar system? It doesn't seem a logical thing for an alien race with interstellar travel capabilities to do. It is fascinating though.

Furries · 26/07/2023 19:20

'He's got pissed again and gone to earth! Earth ffs! I keep telling him but does he listen? Of course not! Hes only gone and crashed too! He's going to get his interstellar licence revoked at this rate and he'll only have himself to blame!'.

Allywill · 26/07/2023 19:38

But surely all UFO means is they are (as yet) unidentified. I mean aside from finding actual life forms, finding (or in most cases just spotting) something in the sky that you don’t recognise would mean 1) yes it’s a UFO and 2) it’s more likely to be a foreign power’s new tech that they don’t want you to know about and will deny it’s theirs to protect it.

There's good and evil everywhere. No matter how enlightened a species of intelligent lifeforms might be.

CatchItDerry · 26/07/2023 19:41

There’s footage of UFOs coming from the sea, so there’s a possibility of some being from right here on earth. I think this includes tictac UFOs that were recorded by the US navy nearly 20 years ago.

There’s also been a lot of talk about reverse engineered craft going back decades, using technology that is very energy efficient.

StefanosHill · 26/07/2023 19:42

I heard something on this earlier I have no idea what’s going on though

Not sure I have the bandwidth atm for aliens
