Her actions and non actions throughout this whole saga makes it abundantly clear shes clearly just a fake nice person, how disappointed . She needs to go now

Totally agree. Ant and dec are real friends not fake ones.

Erm you know friends can fall out? Perfectly possible that they were good mates but aren't any more

Homer28 · 07/06/2023 21:48

Funny how they fall out basically as the story breaks and becomes public knowledge. There is no way Holly didn’t know of the affair, I read about it years ago on mumsnet.
James Haskell said on Jeremy Vine this week that it was well known in those circles and Holly certainly would have known. The fall out is Holly trying to save her own skin/career, the friendship is just collateral damage.

LifeIsPainHighness · 07/06/2023 23:37

So what if Holly knew about the affair - what is she supposed to do with that information? Storm into the CEO of ITV and sacrifice her career unless someone ticks Phil off?

Incidentally she has admitted she asked him about it at the time so we know she’d heard rumours - but again so what. If k found out about a colleagues affair I wouldn’t give a flying fuck and certainly wouldn’t put my own neck on the line over it.

Isnt it funny how no one called for Dec’s head when Any drunk drove? They’re besties after all he must ah e known about Ant’s alcoholism right. Or is it just women we blame when men fuck up?

JamSandle · 07/06/2023 23:38

Why does she?

LifeIsPainHighness · 07/06/2023 23:40

JamSandle · 07/06/2023 23:38

Why does she?

Because it turns out she’s not REALLY the OP’s friend like she thought. She’s just a woman on the tele. Who isn’t bubbly 24/7 and puts a work front on like literally everyone in a person facing role.

In other news Ant and Dec aren’t cheeky chappies 24/7 playing pranks on people and cracking jokes. Wonder how I can get them sacked.

Ridiculous isn't it?

Gowlett · 07/06/2023 23:49

She she had to take the flack for some bloke at work who can’t keep it in his pants? Er, no!

IKR!

I reckon some people when a man cocks up look around holding their hands up saying “Erm Erm…YOU - yes woman over there! You must be to blame in some way. Burn the witch!”. Like they can’t rest until they’ve fucking blamed the nearest female.

Very good point.

benfoldsfivefan · 08/06/2023 08:43

It’s a ridiculous comparison. She doesn’t get a free pass because of her gender.

A free pass from what? Being the colleague of a man who fucked up?

Men are the ones who get a free pass. Lol.

Stalkedbyzombies · 10/06/2023 14:28

Amanda Holden: seems to actively want to break with the blond TV presenter stereotypes and present herself as a strong mother of daughters,

Holly Willoughby: totally plays up to the same stereotypes and won't let go of even the antiquated ones.

I doubt that they were ever friendly.

TheHateIsNotGood · 16/06/2023 14:57

Well you nest of vipers - congratulations, you made the latest issue of Private Eye in a little item about Holly.😂

Not sure if I can do that as it's subscription only or buy the paper version, which I did last night. Maybe I can quote the article instead.

Dear Mr Hislop

I hope you don't mind me quoting your esteemed publication;

by Sofa Lorraine, Private Eye, Issue 1600, 16th June 2023, p.33

"Holly explains situation to viewers
In an emotional statement to the little children wathcing This Morning, Holly Willoughby reassured them that her former co-host Phililip Schofield "had gone to live on a farm".

Holly went on to explain to her viewers that the farm which was very special and lovely, and Phil would be looked after properly there, and be so happy that he would never leave, and so he would be never seen or heard from again.

After the statement caused uproar, ITV bosses cobbled together another press release that admitted that despite the way Holly spoke, This Morning viewers were not in fact little children. No, they were mainly housewives busy slagging Holly off on Mumsnet for being a totally fake patronizing cow."

Kind Regards
T.H.I.N.G.

Usually when somebody needs to go they cross their legs and fidget a lot.

Her job is about the buy in to her personality from the audience

Her smoke and mirrors have been exposed and its annoying she still has a platform.

time for some new talent and opportunities for some fresh faces

Agree. Cannot stand her. There is no way she didn't know what was going on.

xXiXx · 17/06/2023 19:31

I think she knew but what was she going to do? Be labelled a snitch for stabbing her friend in the back? That's how it would have been viewed. Women can't win. If she'd spoken out, it would have been "get back in your box trouble making back stabber, you'd be nobody without phil" or, I know "the apprentice wants to destroy her master and take his job, no gratitude, she'd be a nobody without phil" and if anybody doubts that that would have been the narrative they're not living in reality.

rwalker · 17/06/2023 19:34

I find it hilarious that anyone is stupid enough to think the person you see in tv is the real them
it’s all fake and front that’s there job

xXiXx · 17/06/2023 20:13

Yeh, and no man would ever be shamed for having a cheery persona. I mean, not a HW, I have a 9 to 5 job, but she didn't dupe a spouse in to lavender marriage, she didn't have an affair, didn't put her co-presenter in an awkward position to cover up his affair, if you can call it that, she didn't have any dubious relationships with young men less than half her age.
And everybody is gunning for her.
Ridiculous.
