Her actions and non actions throughout this whole saga makes it abundantly clear shes clearly just a fake nice person, how disappointed . She needs to go now

OP posts:
Sissynova · 05/06/2023 11:11

No idea why people think it is an insult or even relevant to say a TV presenter is 'fake'. It is literally their job!
Are you also ridiculing a chatty receptionist for being fake?

Of course HW is fake. She's not really your friend, she doesn't like you, she's not really interested in you if you phone in, neither is Alison. Their job is literally TV personality.

electriclight · 05/06/2023 11:12

I am not a fan of the show or any of the presenters but can see how much she has been damaged - partly by her association with PS and partly by her unseemly scramble to distance herself. I don't see how she can come back from it and agree that it's time for new faces.

Comedycook · 05/06/2023 11:12

poppy2021 · 05/06/2023 11:06

@Comedycook Do you know her personally. Would you say this to her face?

Well no...hence why I said "I imagine"...and "I have always found her" This is my opinion based on what I have seen. She is in the public eye and therefore people will form a judgement based on what they see and hear. Would I say it to her face? Well no, unless she asked me my opinion which would be highly unlikely.

GoodChat · 05/06/2023 11:13

You're obviously not familiar with the concept of a discussion forum.

The OP hasn't started this thread for any sort of discussion. She's just stating her opinion aggressively and unnecessarily.

Willmafrockfit · 05/06/2023 11:14

why should she go?
she wasnt inappropriate
she is young, has a career in front of her.
of course she is a fake tv personality, what do you want? a Real person, ?
so many marvellous comments on this thread that I want to quote
YABU
just turn the tv off or over if you dont like her

Newyeardietstartstomorrow · 05/06/2023 11:14

Someone clever should count up the number of Holly posts vs the Phillip posts and then let's have a discussion about that on the feminist board.

Lemieux3 · 05/06/2023 11:14

Agree with you 100% Have people forgotten the effect it had on Caroline Flack

People shouldn't be comparing what happened to poor Caroline with this. Caroline wasn't a self-serving narcissist.

What people should be reflecting on is the Jimmy Savile horror. Which is TV companies turning a blind eye to immoral or even illegal behaviour from their employee(s) because that person is making them a lot of money.

Blossomtoes · 05/06/2023 11:19

she is young

She’s 42 ffs. She’s a middle aged woman halfway through her “career”.

Blossomtoes · 05/06/2023 11:20

Caroline wasn't a self-serving narcissist.

No, she was a violent domestic abuser.

Willmafrockfit · 05/06/2023 11:21

@Blossomtoes
42 is young, half way through her career as you say
not 61 and ready to retire

FrippEnos · 05/06/2023 11:21

poppy2021 · 05/06/2023 11:04

The Caroline Flack that hit her sleeping bf over the head with a lamp.
That Caroline Flack?

Blossomtoes · 05/06/2023 11:22

42 is not young. By any measure.

Amberjane41 · 05/06/2023 11:25

Having an opinion based on facts put in front of you isn’t being #unkind

People in the public eye make a hell of a lot of money and get to have amazing lifestyles so if the downside of that is people discussing it and making comments if or when they balls it up then unfortunately that goes with the territory. Throwing #bekind at people for having an opinion is very lazy. I haven’t seen anything on this thread (yet) that is particularly nasty. Just seems to me that people wanted to discuss it after Holly’s ‘How are you’ speech. Which they are entitled to do.

Bintle · 05/06/2023 11:26

Sissynova · 05/06/2023 10:54

Who cares??? Honestly some of you need something better focus your attention on.

It's sad isn't it.

Anonymouseposter · 05/06/2023 11:28

Can anyone saying she has to go explain why? I must admit I haven’t been following this closely but I thought it was Philip Schofield who had behaved badly. Are you holding her responsible for a work colleague’s behaviour because she acted pleasantly towards him at work, which the job required at the time?

Radyward · 05/06/2023 11:29

She has lost the trust of her viewers. its all over the media of the toxic work environment of TM. there is a ?on whether she was complicit and ignored her friends relationship with a jumior employee who got the job thru PS and then entered a sexual relationship with him she has denied all knowledge of the nature of their relationship BUT the public dont know who to believe . its hard to trust the word of PS in saying Holly knew nothing when he knew his own brother had an inappropriate relationship and kept quiet. i wouldnt depend on PS word or him vouching for me. TM feels seedy / feels fake now. Holly and TM need to go. id say her marketability for M and S is damaged and they will be looking to drop her

Stalkedbyzombies · 05/06/2023 11:29

She has been found out for being fake-nice just like the media has attacked other fake-nice people in the public eye.
If I was her, I would wait to be dragged out in a cart for the amount of money she earns. It may be her last big career break and she has an expensive lifestyle to maintain.

Stalkedbyzombies · 05/06/2023 11:31

She won't go unless the spotlight turns exclusively on her extremely hard partying over many years which is actually the basis for her close friendship with PS and something they can use against each other if it comes to that.

JustGeorgie · 05/06/2023 11:32

Has op given up on her thread and done too?

The problem is that it's mostly not fact.

Much of what is being said and written is opinion, rumour and gossip.
In time, more rumour may become fact, but at the moment the facts don't warrant a woman losing her job due to her male colleague's behaviour.

JustGeorgie · 05/06/2023 11:32

*gone

SunnySaturdayMorning · 05/06/2023 11:33

I think she’s great and a brilliant presenter.

Lemieux3 · 05/06/2023 11:33

Holly lost popularity around the time of the queue-jumping when the Queen was lying in state. I do feel kind of sorry for her because this queue jumping has PS all over it - why should he queue like everyone else? I think the reason he chose Holly to co present with him is that he knew he'd be able to control her. Fern only lasted half the time.

PsychoHotSauce · 05/06/2023 11:34

The only thing that will influence whether she stays or go is viewing figures.

They've kept her around because people are watching just because of the scandal. When ratings start to drop she'll be gone.

Feel a bit sorry for her that she's been used by itv for inevitable high viewership today but that's why business.

Nanny0gg · 05/06/2023 11:36

Bucketheadbucketbum · 05/06/2023 10:57

Her job is about the buy in to her personality from the audience

Her smoke and mirrors have been exposed and its annoying she still has a platform.

time for some new talent and opportunities for some fresh faces

Or just don't watch it?
