I was no fan of CF (or HW for that matter) but this is simply incorrect. The court case never happened so it's ridiculous to state that she was going to jail. Also, 'domestic assault' is not an offence; I believe it was assault by beating.

I am actually going to go against what others are saying and suggest that YANBU I think holly should go. There are two issues here one is PS and his affair with a runner which looks like grooming and his lies. The other is the toxic environment in TM which previous presenters and staff have made complaints/ statements on. HW seems to be part of that toxic bullying environment and complicit with it. Anyone who behaves like that in the work place should be shown the door, don't care who they are and what their role is. Same for all the management team associated with this programme. A full independent investigation needed and people shown the door, no organisation should tolerate bullying in the workplace and staff, whatever their role should be protected from it. Your employer has a duty of care to you

TS went to PS to partially confess in September 21. PS told him not to do it again. Three months later the boy told a school counsellor, the school immediately reported it to police and TS was arrested. In December 21.

“Shopped to cops“ obviously commonly means bringing previously unknown crime/s by a specific person/people to the attention of the authorities. Here it’s used to refer to PS simply telling police in December, after the arrest, about what he already knew was wrong three months earlier.

Given his brother's apparent mental instability at the time he told him and him continuing to try and talk about the victim's body to PS, not intervening immediately was certainly a choice.

The boy was brave in telling on his abuser and this reframing in PS favour feels like it’s taking from that. Ditto the brag about still being in touch with detectives on the case who are so happy with the outcome. As if they’re all so grateful to him and he’s such a stand up guy for not continuing to keep quiet about what so horrified him - once he knew his brother was officially in trouble for it.

I don’t know why CF commited suicide. It may have been the hate she received for one bad act that caused another person to be injured. (assault) Or she had other issues going on but she basically wasn’t given the right care by ITV and the concern is the same will happen to PS.

I don’t know if Holly will go, but I’ve had TM on in the background while I work today and, omg, Holly and Josie just doesn’t work.

There is absolutely no way she didn't know what PS got up to.

Yes lots people see someone on their TV screens usually quite often. They say oh no not them again I can’t stand them or I’m not keen on them, that’s their opinion and they’re entitled to it. However I don’t think you can go on a forum saying “fire them” I don’t like them. I’m sure HW is a perfectly nice person but to get where she is in life she can’t be too nice, she’s ambitious but that doesn’t make her a bad person.

Holly W built her TM brand on her and PS being “best friends”. Holidaying together, drunken giggles after award shows etc. people bought into it and it was false which is what the OP is getting at I think, no point saying “oh all presenters are fake” - their popularity was based on what they were selling the public and HW hasn’t seen it through.
Ant and Dec are marketed as best friends in real life and Dec stood by Ant when he drunkenly crashed a car into a family with a young child.
