’Multiple near collisions’ ‘Could have been fatal’… Yeah but it wasn’t thought was it?! Surely there’s more important news stories to take up all the news channels with! Right?

To be fair - my drive into the city centre of Glasgow could have been catastrophic this morning. But it wasn't. This story has CLEARLY been exaggerated. They do need material for the next Netflix show I suppose.

Has the interview date been announced yet for the victims to give an account of their terrible ordeal. Is the ghost rider writing this chapter of the book yet. Maybe the podcast will be by tomorrow morning going though the blow blow account of this terrifying encounter. Maybe Harry and Meghan can star in the next installment of fast and furious.

Never understand these sort of comments. It's an online chat forum. People chat about things that are going on atm. This is all over the place so of course people are going to bring it up. You could have just scrolled past it instead of being so sarcastic.

His mother died because she was being driven by a drunk driver.

I don't doubt that it was distressing for Harry and Meghan. But they bear some responsibility for the situation in my opinion. Apparently they were staying with a friend and they drive around New York for an hour trying to lose the photographers because they didn't want to disclose the location of their friends house. But appearing at a glitzy event was guaranteed to get them attention and it's not really the night to stay with your mate! They should have stayed at a hotel close to the venue and accept that there would be photographers on the route. When they couldn't shake off the paps, they stopped at a police station and then left in a taxi in another attempt to lose the photographers. But presumably the taxi driver wasn't vetted - he could have been anyone! And they weren't wearing seatbelts which just beggars belief. They didn't plan properly and do not have good advisors.

This. He clearly, justifiably, has trauma around scenarios like this. Photos are fine, but is there ever a good reason for follow someone in a car/ on motorbike to take a blurry pic of them driving away?

I think most people would find that frightening.
