@pilates They do. The paparazzi are are awful over there. But like the taxi driver said, he’s never seen others get as much attention or the paparazzi be as crazy to get photos.

@CalmYourThunder - maybe that’s because of their elaborate manoeuvres, instead of just going to their destination? The longer they were driving aro7nd in circles, the more paps appeared.

@TrashyPanda There was a woman, who apparently worked at the venue where the awards were held, who said lots of paparazzi followed them as they left their venue in the original car. The photos must be in demand. 🤷‍♀️

Who was their intended audience with the announcement from their spokesperson?

And what did they want them to do, think or feel?

If it was inadequate law enforcement would this line of communication not already be in place due to the incident?

So who else did they need to hear this story?

I don’t doubt there were a number of paps.

but driving round in circles instead of going to the destination was a stupid thing to do. It left them vulnerable and exposed. And it was inevitable more paps would join in the longer they were driving around.

Their security is crap and I hope they get someone more competent.

I think it interesting that Omid Scobie in the NewsNight interview focused on the shock and disappointment that the RF had not been in touch with H&M since the incident. He seems to have had this conversation with H&M.

Not that surprising. Their link to the RF is their only selling point, they need to reiterate it constantly. No-one is interested in Meghan giving waffly speeches and receiving dubious 'awards'
