Putting a poop in your bin

Walking the dog to the vets, she poops, I tie it up in a poop bag and then put it in a wheelie bin which is kerbside for emptying. Owner of the bin threatened to call the police.

YABU don’t put poop in my bin
YANBU it’s tied up, not a problem

Big difference between having shit in your pocket and shit in a bin outside! My Mum forgot once she put it in her pocket and put the coat away.. weeks later she wondered where smell was coming from!

If it's your dog and your bin, yes. If it's your dog and my bin then I'd prefer you carried the shit thanks!

Utterly vile. I'm surprised they just shouted at you.

Take your dog's mess home with you or use a public dog bin. Ugh people make me sick, how can anyone think this is acceptable.

That is why these carriers are available- so people can carry it to either their own bin, or the next council dog poo bin. No need to just have a poo bag in your pocket!

Our bin colours are stupid, the brown is for general waste the black for recycling...someone put their dog poo in our recycling bin, so the bin wasn't taken and the recycling was soiled. Revolting job to sort out and the recycling ended up in general waste, which was a pita as we only have general waste collected once a fortnight.
I think people make assumptions over bin colours, the problem is councils all have different criteria, my friend in a different county has the green bin for general waste, and a brown bin for recycling now that would really fry my brain!

I don’t even put dog poo in my own wheelie bin! If the bag spilts it would be a nightmare! Also the council won’t take it if it’s not in a bin bag.

What do you do with it then? Do you flush it down your loo (but then what do you do with the bag?) or do you find a dog waste bin?
