Weird things my body does....

IfYoureGonnaBreakMyHeart · 17/03/2023 07:59

Over the past few weeks I've started using a brush to apply powder to my face after foundation. Before I'd just use the pad that comes with the compact.
For some reason using the brush directly in the middle of my forehead creates a reaction that feels like pins being dragged down my head.
I remembered that I had a similar reaction when I had a facial last year that involves brushing something onto my skin.
Also when I eat anything super minty it makes my ears itch.
Anyone else's body do weird things?

Late to this thread and I’ve only read the first few reply’s but I have this thing where say for example I scratch my leg I feel it in my shoulder or somewhere completely different! It’s really odd and it happens quite regularly in various areas of my body.

CalpolDependant · 18/03/2023 20:42

When I clean my right ear, I need to cough.

littlestrawberryhat · 18/03/2023 20:46

If a dog licks my face I get an unbearable buzzing sort of fuzzy feeling on the roof of my mouth.

Only had chance to read half way but I can't touch my belly button (the inner most bit) because i get an awful ripping pain sensation that goes down to my vagina just as others have described. I won't touch my belly button.

If I drink orange cordial I get a layer of weird scum on roof of my mouth that seems to stay for ages and makes swallowing difficult.

When I go outside I get a horrid pain at the top of my nose that's insanely painful and feels like i have smelled the strongest smelling salts ever.

I occasionally get a small red itchy patch that appears on my feet or hands which drive me mad (insane itch) and need washing to alleviate the itch. Skin stays red for a while after.

My right hip clicks and snaps. I don't think that's weird maybe just some sort of injury but it's loud and people can hear it, really annoys me.

I have little cluster of bumps in my right groin that stick out a bit but not on the other side. Where bikini line is. Same on my neck on one side only at back, which pops out when I turn my head to one side.

Certain things make me sneeze, always when driving. Possibly sunlight, though I'm not sure.

Sometimes my lower back seems to give way for no reason and if I take antibiotics or have a flu, I will get really painful nerve pain from my butt down to my heels which keeps me awake night after night for about four days then back to normal. Every single time. So weird.

You didn’t do the Beverley Callard workout video in the 90’s did you? Because me and all my friends did and we’ve all had weird clicking hips since and we blame bendy Bev to this day

if I get something in my eye is makes a really loud noise in my ears, does anyone else get this as I thought everyone did until I mentioned it to my family 😅

there is also a small section of my back to the side, that when touched by someone else makes me flinch. It’s as if that’s where all my nerve endings are…

Yes to the eye/ear situation!

DappledThings · 18/03/2023 21:14

When DH goes swimming he gets a thin red line down the centre of his nose. Like he's sensitive to chlorine but only in that specific area.

TmFid · 18/03/2023 21:18

When I’m bursting for a wee, the tip of my right index finger throbs in pain until I’ve been!!

Iamblossom · 18/03/2023 21:19

My hearing goes a bit temporarily after a particularly strong orgasm.

MortimerTheCat · 18/03/2023 21:27

You can hear my pulse in my neck from outside. I thought I could only hear it in my head until my boyfriend asked what the ticking noise was. Ummmmmm I think it’s my neck?!

Shabang21 · 18/03/2023 21:33

I always get the hiccups after eating carrots

Does he remember getting injured in that area?

Me too, me too!! Wow, I thought this was just me!

Not that I know of. It's a totally straight line as well, and quite thin, but happens every time. Only started happening about 3 years ago.

My feet itch during sex

BB142831 · 18/03/2023 22:02

When I sneeze I can smell beeswax, and I have a very specific part of my back that when touched gives me some sort of spasm!

pomers · 18/03/2023 22:03

My right little toe sometimes moves by itself, even though I cannot move it independently if I try

Splodgerbodgerbadger · 18/03/2023 22:03

Chenford · 17/03/2023 08:09

Javelin arse during my period sometimes. No idea what causes it.

Apparently, I am not alone.

Yes! I know exactly what you mean.

Finallyfree41 · 18/03/2023 22:06

If I crush a crisp packet (or something similar) in my left hand it makes my entire arm go weak, I get shooting pains all the way up it.

Finallyfree41 · 18/03/2023 22:16

Also if I lay on my stomach and prop myself up on my elbows my hearing almost goes completely and my head feels extremely heavy. I have to lay flat til it passes and then I can prop myself up without issue

Sorry, please could you clarify what javelin arse is? Cos I sometimes have a sensation that could well be this...

Feels like a javelin. Up the arse. Fairly unmistakable.

Knorr used to do a noodle pot, micro noodles. I would always make them up with boiling water rather than microwave them.
First mouthful of them would make me sneeze. Every time.

@kittensinthekitchen micro noodles chicken flavour were amazing!
So flavoursome and I miss them terribly 😪.

I have endometriosis and adenomyosis and I get this! It's terrible. I've even been in the middle of the supermarket and gasped and people were looking at me and one asked whether I was okay. It was so embarrassing 😸

moveoverye · 18/03/2023 23:42

fizzy drinks will always, at some point, go up my nose.
As in, I will swallow them, and then any time up to 20 mins later I will get a sudden fizzy rush up my nose that will make me reflexively screw up my face and grab my nose . It’s quite embarrassing

TiredyMcTired · 18/03/2023 23:44

If I get really hungry, then I have a bite of food I’ll get severe hiccups. And the only thing that will get rid of them is if I lean forward so my head is almost upside down, and drink from a glass of water from the opposite side of the glass😆
