What the bloody hell just happened?

I'm trying not to freak out.

In bed reading mumsnet as you do and all of a sudden I hear this almighty bang on my bedroom door which is ajar. It's one of those crap ones with a frame and perspex in.

Thinking something must have fallen, I got up to investigate. I turn the torch on on my phone as the bedside table lamp barely gives off any light. When I reached the door my phone went weird, the torch went off and a qr code came up on my screen as if trying to scan. I tried getting it off and it closed to reveal the screensaver I have of my daughter. All the icons had vanished and the phone was frozen except for the screenshot which was blurred and looked almost ghostly.

I put the light on and check around. Nothing apart from a coat hanger on the floor which could have already been there as it was behind the door.

Couldn't do anything with my phone until all of a sudden it restarted and now appears to be working fine!

Because every time there is any video evidence of ghosts, it is ALWAYS branded as fake and is apparently "so obvious" 🙄

Even if BBC News did a live stream (with them signing an affidavit legally certifying that there was ZERO interference or editing) and there happened to be a genuine full body apparition caught on camera - there would still be thousands of people screaming "FAKE!" saying they can "see the editing" or the "fishing wire" and making parodies of it. Can you imagine the bloody TikToks?!?!

Sadly with today's technology, it's impossible to completely prove something to be genuine and successfully convince everyone in the process. The only way to prove it to anyone is for them to experience it themselves. Like I have

I think exactly the same. There are many photos and videos. Could be a photograph of a person shaped mist or a video of a mist going past.

Noone believes they're real but what if they are?

There are some really awful obvious fakes (I watched slapped ham on YouTube a lot 🤣) but some of the vids are really bloody creepy.

We’ve lived in this house for just over a year and I have heard noises that make me think someone/something is here multiple times. I’ve heard someone running up the stairs, the tap has been left on when I don’t remember when I was last in the bathroom, I’ve heard things moving in drawers and I’ve heard cartoons playing downstairs when no one is down there and the tv is off.
The weirdest one is both me and dp have heard what sounds like a mouse or other small animal running around and scratching in kitchen cupboards and at the sofa. This has been on and off for months. We have left food out, put a mouse trap down, searched every time we hear it and there’s never anything there. The only ‘evidence’ we have found is an ice cream sauce tub that looked like it had been cleanly sliced across but the sauce was all still there, there was no poo and it didn’t look like it had been chewed. It’s all really weird.

I would never, ever use a ouija board, even if you don't believe in it or think it's a bit of a laugh. There are things out there we don't know about, and you could easily invite the wrong type of spirit into your home. Please do not try using a ouija board!!

Something similar here last week.. visiting MIL’s house and my 6 year old saw a ghost. Kept seeing at least twice a day. I could smell a fragrance and when I asked my husband he said he did few days ago but didn’t think much of it then. He has seen a ghost in the same house when he was a kid. We felt uneasy with the presence and we left to stay in a hotel for 2 nights. My son didn’t report seeing anything in a hotel but when we returned he starting seeing it again in the house. We left immediately and stayed a further 3 nights in the hotel. Got a Catholic priest to say a pray for us and we bought a crucifix for the house and a rosary for everyone. Sprinkle the whole house with holy water. Just back to the house today after days in the hotel, hoping whatever it was us now left.

BertaHoon, Jets are told not to go over Mach 5 and break the sound barrier, causing a hypersonic boom, until they are well over an ocean, unless there's an emergency. Apparently there has just been one, or perhaps a lot, when jets were scrambled to escort a plane that lost communication - in case it was a terrorist incident, though I don't know what they could do to stop it - shoot it down if it was on target for the House of Commons, I suppose, and hope it crashes in a field. They all landed safely at Stansted.
The odd phone behaviour that op had - could that be connected with the massive solar flare that gave us the Northern Lights all over the country for a few nights?

Must add that he also heard stomping sounds and also a male voice
