The stupid takeaway.

My OH has been away for a week and came back today. He turned up this evening with a Chinese takeaway for himself. Didn't even say he was getting one or asked if I wanted one. I've worked all week and done all childcare, which is fine, but when I said "well that's a bit shitty, I'm knackered and hungry too" his response was "well cook something then". I'm raging but he's acting like I'm being crazy.

Seems very selfish of him.

Blablablanamechangagain · 24/02/2023 20:32

That's SO rude and selfish!!

I'm not normally an advocate of violence, but I'd be shoving his chinese somewhere painful.

Please make sure you don't make him any food for at least 2 weeks. No washing. Nothing!

greensbeans · 24/02/2023 20:32

He’s a prick. LTB. Not joking.

HollyGolightly4 · 24/02/2023 20:33

It's rubbish.

But order one for yourself and ensure he doesn't answer the door.

OneMoreCookieMonster · 24/02/2023 20:33

Order your own with enough for left overs for tomorrow.

WiddlinDiddlin · 24/02/2023 20:33

Order your own take away, have the left overs tomorrow so no cooking for you for a couple of nights (at least, I wouldn't cook the fucker anything ever again!)

bussteward · 24/02/2023 20:33

What a prick. Do nothing for him. Cold turkey on considering him until he recognises what an arsehole move this is.

vipersputpaidtomylastusername · 24/02/2023 20:33

Is he usually such an arsehole? That is seriously shitty behaviour.
Please do the reverse tomorrow night / next Friday.

DarkDarkNight · 24/02/2023 20:34

Bloody hell I would want to kill him. It’s common courtesy surely to ask if anyone else in the house wants a takeaway before ordering one or bringing one home.

AmandaHoldensLips · 24/02/2023 20:34

You would be perfectly entitled to seek deep revenge.

youshouldnthaveasked · 24/02/2023 20:34

Hope it gives him the sh1ts

Lkydfju · 24/02/2023 20:34

I would have hit the roof to be honest

MeinKraft · 24/02/2023 20:34

What the hellConfused bet he needs to lie in bed all day tomorrow to recover from his very stressful holiday week at work.

Ihatethenewlook · 24/02/2023 20:34

That’s selfish as fuck. Even if the thought didn’t cross his mind that his partner might be hungry or just fancy a takeaway too, which is bad enough, the normal response to anyone who isn’t a total dickhead would be ‘sorry, grab two plates and I’ll share it with you’.

devildeepbluesea · 24/02/2023 20:35

This is another of those tip of the iceberg posts where the OP proceeds to (probably unwittingly) drip feed about what a complete cunt of a person her husband is.

BananaSpanner · 24/02/2023 20:35

Definitely order your own and never cook for him again. I’m fuming on your behalf!

FourFour · 24/02/2023 20:35

You want to be with someone so selfish? Probably not the only selfish thing he does.

Fenella123 · 24/02/2023 20:35

That's very much a "who raised him?!" situation (in jest AND seriously).

HumptyNumpty76 · 24/02/2023 20:35

He's an arsehole. Even if I'd had a lazy week my OH wouldn't dream of coming home with food for him and not me!

bobbytorq · 24/02/2023 20:36

What a wanker. I've never come across such total selfishness

HumptyNumpty76 · 24/02/2023 20:36

Please make sure you order something for yourself now though!

AlphaAlpha · 24/02/2023 20:37

He'd be fucking wearing it if I were you.
Is he always such a selfish prick?

Theimpossiblegirl · 24/02/2023 20:37

Fucking hell that's awful!
I would be so angry and would be seriously asking why I was with such a selfish git.

MaryKateDanaher · 24/02/2023 20:37

What an absolute twat. You already know this though, I suspect.

shittyshitshit · 24/02/2023 20:38

Selfish awful man. Not the behaviour of a loving caring partner.
